Hello, I'm Aria. My philosophy towards therapy has always been to honor the trust you place in me as your guide and witness. Each client and every session is unique, and I celebrate this by respecting your innate wisdom and personal sovereignty. My practice is grounded in an integrated and interdisciplinary approach to wellness and healing, balancing both Western scientific and Eastern holistic perspectives. I approach each session from a humanistic, person-centered perspective, helping you evolve toward a more empowering path in life while focusing on both short- and long-term goals.
I have been working in the human services field since 2001 and earned my MSW in Clinical Social Work from Smith College in 2004. I've been independently licensed since 2007. My experience spans both inpatient and outpatient settings, and I have additional training in eating disorders, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and the Seeking Safety and Creating Change approach to trauma and substance abuse disorders. Additionally, I have training in meditation, yoga, and stress reduction techniques.
My areas of focus include anxiety and mood disorders, trauma, eating disorders, LGBTQIA+ support, and transitional issues, such as feeling "stuck" and unsure of how to proceed. I honor and value my relationships with each of you, appreciating your perspectives and life experiences.
I look forward to working with you and supporting you on your journey towards healing and growth.
