Kindred Art Therapy & Counseling provides creative, practical, and compassionate mental health support for college students and young adults throughout North Carolina. Our therapists specialize in ADHD, autism, anxiety, trauma, stress, identity development, life transitions, relationships, burnout, executive functioning, and the challenges of balancing school, work, relationships, and everyday life.
We understand that college can bring exciting opportunities while also creating significant pressure, uncertainty, and overwhelm. Whether you are struggling with motivation, procrastination, time management, perfectionism, emotional regulation, social connection, academic stress, or simply feeling stuck, our team can help you better understand yourself and develop strategies that work with your brain and your life.
Our approach combines evidence-based counseling with creative expression, art therapy, mindfulness, DBT-informed skills, and practical tools you can use outside of sessions. You do not need to be artistic to participate in or benefit from art therapy. Creativity simply offers another way to process experiences, explore emotions, gain insight, and discover new possibilities when words alone may not be enough.
At Kindred, therapy is collaborative, strengths-based, and tailored to the individual. We focus not only on reducing distress, but also on helping clients build confidence, improve communication, strengthen relationships, develop self-acceptance, and create meaningful, sustainable change.
We offer in-person counseling in Hendersonville, North Carolina, as well as secure telehealth appointments for college students throughout North Carolina. We welcome clients seeking a supportive, where they can show up authentically, build practical skills, and move forward with greater clarity and confidence.
