Enessa Salman
Seeking help requires a vulnerability that can be uncomfortable and scary at times. I want to commend you for making that choice for yourself. I am originally from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and was an international student in the US. The experiences faced by immigrants and international students can be challenging and lonely which I have a deep understanding of. As a therapist, I focus on helping individuals’ transition and adapt through increasing their awareness. I am focused on practicing cultural humility when working with clients.
Every person has an individualized trajectory to growth, and I am dedicated to supporting you to reach your personal goals. I focus on repairing interpersonal relationships with others and mending the relationship with yourself through awareness and compassion. I have a background in trauma and substance use, and can help with managing anxiety & depression.
My aim with all clients is to provide a non-judgmental and compassionate treatment using an eclectic approach that pulls from techniques such as Dialectic Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavior. I am confident my experiences have shaped me into the therapist I am. I look forward to supporting and challenging you through this special journey of yours.
