Hawk's Nest Counseling is nestled on an 11 acre hobby farm. We offer a unique setting incorporating Nigerian dwarf goats, chickens and cows as well as a therapy dog. All of the animals on the farm have been hand raised with therapeutic purposes in mind. Our clients have a unique opportunity to walk and talk on the nature trail, chat while walking a goat or just lounging in the variety of outdoor sitting spaces. Hi everyone, my name is Emma Hickey and I am a recent graduate from Kennesaw State University's Master of Social Work program. My practice utilizes a client centered approach which focuses on and emphasizes client’s individual strengths and empowers clients to decide what is best for them. I help clients learn to integrate Cognitive Behavioral techniques to help identify the connection of thought, behavior, and emotion.
