Our integrative approach combines neuroscience, talk therapy, and mindfulness-based practices to create personalized paths toward healing. Are you feeling overwhelmed under the pressures of facing life transitions, hacking adulthood, success/failure, and your FUTURE, particularly in these stressful, uncertain times? Finding an older adult who really gets it, and opening up to a stranger can also be really stressful- I understand! I promise, I really get all that you may be struggling with and can help you learn to cope with it all better, feel less overwhelmed, and be more confident in your ability to not just be “okay,” but to thrive. I work with a lot of folks in their twenties, and always strive to have a relaxed, supportive, inclusive, affirming, and judgment-free safe space for all clients to help them to learn and determine more about Who they are and want to be, to like and value themselves, manage stress and life better, take on each day confidently, and just generally believe they really can figure it out and do it (whatever “it” is). Through a compassionate trauma-informed, strengths-based lens, I seek to help my clients become empowered to heal, grow, and thrive. I work with adults, including many zoomers and zillennials, from all various backgrounds, cultures, ethnicities, faiths, and world-views. While I see that most issues are grounded in some depth of trauma, my focused areas include: anxiety, loss/grief, PTSD and C-PTSD, stress, burnout, perfectionism, Self-Image & Identity, adjustment, attachment wounds / developmental trauma, interpersonal/relationship issues (including w/ family), narcissistic abuse survival, and recovery & relapse prevention. (I also offer a faith-based orientation by client request.) My collaborative approach to therapy does involve talking about life’s issues, but I don’t just repeat things back to you or tell you to change a thought or behavior. I tend to also promote thinking about things from new, alternative perspectives and of yourself in a sense of various parts, to provide comfortable structure and accountability, help you identify and then to understand the real reasons WHY patterns have developed & happen, and to learn how to feel safe, grounded, and regulated within yourself - no matter where you are. I’d say I take a Whole-istic mind-body stance, and often use neuro-somatic techniques, including Brainspotting (BSP) and Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR) to help reduce reactive feelings, as well as the integration of therapeutic psychedelics for deeper healing. Call, text, or email me whenever you’re ready, and let’s discuss your therapy needs and goals for being the best version of your Self! Lara Eddleman, MS, LPC, CCTP

My waitlist is open, please email me! In a safe and non-judgmental environment, I utilize art therapy to help you process emotions and challenging life experiences. No experience in art is necessary to benefit, you only need the willingness to express yourself and engage in the creative process. I use art therapy in counseling with those who are seeking to process anxiety, stress, trauma and more. As your therapist, I will work with you to ensure that you feel safe and validated while we build the therapeutic relationship and process challenges with art therapy. Not into art? Not to worry, I also offer traditional talk therapy! Art therapy is a powerful mind-body therapeutic process. Using art in therapy stimulates the brain in areas inaccessible by verbal stimulation alone and contributes to new neural connections. Focus is on the therapeutic process of art making, creativity and reflection, as well as personal growth and development. I am here to help you with any challenges you might be facing. If this seems like a good fit for your needs, please reach out and we can discuss more in depth about how art therapy can benefit you! Email is the best way to reach me! If you are feeling stuck, playing small, or wondering if this is it, I'd love to talk with you! You don't have to play by everyone else's rules. You can release that which no longer serves you and step into your most beautiful expression of you. (I know because I've done it!) If traditional therapy has left you wanting more, my style of coaching, energy healing, and therapy might be a good option to explore. I believe that when we start living our most authentic lives, the old conditioned self that used to be in charge takes a back seat and we all enjoy the journey a bit more. I'm a licensed clinical social worker with over 19 yrs experience helping people overcome the challenges that keep them stuck. Certified Reiki Master and currently going through Yoga Teacher Training, I now get the honor of adding additional holistic methods to bring even more healing to our sessions. I can help you break free and live your best life. It is always an honor to be privy to the journey of another soul on the path to becoming their best self. I'd be honored to walk alongside you.
My name is Dakota Fidram, an associate professional counselor providing affirmative therapy in Atlanta, GA. I have worked with a wide range of diverse clients. Many of my previous clients have sought help for depression, anxiety, family/relationship conflict, and more. Here are some of the areas I am passionate about serving: identity exploration, LGBTQ+, chronic disability/ invisible illness, alternative spirituality, existential questions, polyamory/open relationships. I offer in-person sessions Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays 12pm to 6pm. I offer online virtual sessions Monday through Friday 12pm to 6pm. I have worked with a wide range of diverse clients. My prior experiences in both a community clinic setting as well as a university setting has put me in contact with a variety of client issues. Many of my previous clients have sought help for depression, anxiety, family/relationship conflict, substance use, adjusting to difficult life transitions, exploring and redefining personal identities, and sometimes simply learning more about who they are and who they want to be. Here is a snapshot of my specialty areas: Depression Anxiety/Panic Attacks Identity exploration LGBTQ+ Life transitions Chronic Disability/ Invisible Illness Alternative spirituality Existential questions Before studying and graduating with a master of science degree in clinical mental health counseling, I studied and taught French and Francophone language, literature, and culture. Having studied in Quebec, Canada and having taught English in France reinforced my devotion for expanding perspectives and developing insight. I eventually decided to apply my passion for introspection and self-exploration to help those who need a guiding hand through life's trials and travails. Upon returning to the US, I enrolled in the University of North Georgia's counseling program. I interned in a community counseling setting in North Georgia as well as in a college counseling setting at Kennesaw State University. These experiences continued to inspire me to help those in most need of sensitive care, such as the LGBTQ+ community. Insight and introspection can be lifesavers when we feel as though we’ve lost our way. Learning new ways of handling and adapting to all of life’s changes can be revitalizing. We can grow through obtaining new perspective. I would be excited to be there with you on your path as a co-journeyer and as a provider of objective, researched-based counseling.
I commend you for taking courageous steps to nurture yourself through counseling. It is my privilege to come alongside clients with support, insight, encouragement, education, and tools for growth. My areas of emphasis include grief, life transitions, trauma, anxiety, depression, co-dependency, and couples issues. I gladly offer a complimentary 15-minute consult to discuss your counseling concerns. My office is near Northlake Mall, where Decatur, Atlanta, and Tucker meet.
I am a therapist with over 13 years of clinical experience. I hold the belief that we are constantly learning and evolving from our life events. We become stronger as we grow through these experiences and learn more about ourselves. Self-acceptance and self-awareness are key to being able to live freely. Our sessions will be a journey of self-discovery. I will be here to guide and support you during this process. Therapy is a safe space for you to be able to express and process your feelings. You will learn to identify triggers to negative feelings and behaviors as well as build coping skills. During the therapeutic process, you will experience clarity and growth. Prior to therapy most people desire to get back to their old self again, but therapy is actually about forward movement. We take experiences and learn from them. Wellness includes your mind, body, and soul. We do not function our best when one of these aspects is out of sync. Whether you need therapy, health coaching, or life coaching, I am here to guide and support you to meet your goals.
