I strongly believe that a safe, empathetic, non-judgmental environment is a place that fosters acceptance and growth. You may find yourself faced with life challenges that feel almost impossible to handle, and the need to have your thoughts and concerns heard and validated. I will walk with you on your journey to self-discovery and self-compassion, as well as provide you with the opportunity to find and apply your strengths to your daily life. We will work to identify and challenge any barriers to growth that may be holding you back from effectively navigating and tolerating the uncomfortable emotions and challenging situations that can arise unexpectedly. I use an eclectic approach to counseling tailored to my client and their needs. I believe that building trust between the client and counselor is of the utmost importance in a therapeutic relationship. I have experience working with a variety of clients with varying mental health needs such as eating disorders, body image concerns, depression, anxiety, adjustment to life changes, grief/loss, substance use/abuse, and trauma. I graduated from Georgia Gwinnett College with BS in Clinical Psychology in 2017 and from Mercer University with an MS in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2020. I also completed my 200 hour yoga teacher training at Ebb and Flow Yoga, Spa, & Float in 2017. I have experience working with adolescent, young adult, and adult women in the field of eating disorders, mood disorders, depression, and anxiety. I also like to incorporate my yoga teachings into my counseling where appropriate. I am a mother, spouse, avid reader, counselor, yogi, and friend. But most importantly I am human and I understand how difficult being human can be sometimes. Therefore, I will seek to hear and understand your world and struggles you face in that world. I believe I can help by offering a compassionate ear, coping skills, and a safe place to process emotions. Greetings! I'm Viola & I'm deeply committed to helping people understand & accept their entire selves. As a neurodivergent clinician, I am familiar with the discomfort that comes from lacking a holistic understanding of one's self. For as long as I can remember, I’ve been captivated by the question: “Why do we, as humans, do what we do?” Ten years into my career, that fascination has only grown. I’ve spent years mapping the way our brain, conditioning, and hidden beliefs drive our behaviors and more importantly, how we can better understand them. But here’s the truth: talk therapy alone doesn’t always go deep enough. That’s why I integrated Shadow Work into my practice. When you explore the parts of yourself you’ve buried—the fears, shame, and old wounds, you stop running from them and start reclaiming your power. That’s where profound healing happens. I don’t believe in surface-level fixes. I believe in bold, lasting transformation. If you’re ready to stop avoiding the parts of yourself that scare you, and start living as your most authentic, unapologetic self, you’re exactly where you need to be. So I strive to create a space for you to safely sit with the confusion or discomfort of your past that led to behaviors not representative of your true self. You cannot live authentically when you deny parts of yourself that you believe to be less than or undesirable!

I have a wide range of experience working with individuals. I primarily focus on helping clients understand how experiences in their life have influenced their beliefs, behaviors, emotions and relationships. I think this helps clients understand what action they need to take to feel connected to themselves and others. If I can be helpful in deepening your relationships with others and self please give me a call. I have been a therapist for 15 years. I have worked in the field of addiction for 6 years. I work with individuals processing, grief and loss, depression, anxiety, trauma, and navigating life transitions. Therapy is helpful and daunting. I remember when I first went to therapy I felt uncomfortable, embarrassed, and scared. I also wanted something to be different in my life. Things did change and I felt better. I believe you can have the same experience and I can offer you a compassionate, experienced, presence that will help you find the change you want.

You deserve to live a life with filled with connection, stability, and calm. Right now, you may feel lost or wonder what you can do to feel better, to thrive. With the right support and guidance, positive change is possible. My practice focuses on helping individuals and couples navigate relationship challenges and life transitions. I rely on evidence-based interventions, such as cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance & commitment therapy, motivational interviewing and the Gottman Method. Currently, I am on the certification track to become a Gottman certified therapist. My goal in our work together, is to provide a supportive environment where you can address conflict, set boundaries, build resilience, and develop skills needed to establish and maintain a fulfilling life.
I practice with authenticity and meet each individual where they are currently. I am collaborative with my patients and respect the wisdom that they inherently possess and empower them to find the solutions that are congruent with their individual lifestyles. I am a big believer in the relationship between patient and clinician, wellness, and self care as agents of change.
I primarily work with individuals struggling with compulsive behavior, including sex/porn addiction, codependency, internet/social media addiction, and problem spending/debting. Addiction is meant to make you feel less. It provides temporary numbing for lifelong pain. You feel trapped, depressed, angry, anxious, guilty, and afraid when you can't stop. Recovering from compulsive behavior, though not easy, is possible and has been accomplished many times. But it does require a complete change in beliefs and attitude, along with how to deal with life and its problems. Getting out of your head and taking action is the next indicated step. Listen to your mind and body - it's time to stop treating yourself so badly. I can help you learn to help yourself. You can become your own best advocate. All are welcome in my office, including those from BIPOC and LGBTQIA communities.
I specialize in helping high performers thrive in a fast-paced, uncertain, ever-changing world.
