I believe that how we interact with others in the present often grew out of lessons learned earlier in life. Sometimes, people use strategies to cope with situations that once made sense but are no longer effective or useful. I also believe that everyone has strengths that can help guide decisions and behaviors in the present. I believe in a collaborative approach to therapy, where we become travelers on your journey; we look at concerns, explore their origins and feelings that arise, and discuss how to view and handle situations here and now. I blend developmental and clinical approaches to help individuals understand difficulties within the context of typical stages of life. Treatment is geared to individual needs, and I draw on a variety of theoretical orientations (e.g., Psychodynamic, CBT, and Humanistic therapies). I work with individuals from a wide range of ethnic, cultural, and economic backgrounds, and I have a special interest in gender identity and sexual orientation (LGBTQIA+). I have helped clients with concerns including, among several others, depression, anxiety, trauma/PTSD, and life transitions. Please visit my website for more information: www.everbreezepsych.com

I am a licensed mental health practitioner with 13 years of experience and specialized certification in child and family forensics. I support individuals as they navigate trauma, anxiety, depression, emotional regulation difficulties, intimate partner violence, forensic and legal challenges, and major life transitions. My approach cultivates self-awareness within the unique context of each client’s social identities, drawing on multidisciplinary methods such as CBT applied through a social justice lens. I tailor my techniques to individual needs, fostering a supportive and collaborative therapeutic relationship.

The students I connect with most are curious about themselves and want to understand not just what they feel, but why. Many seem capable on the outside but feel overwhelmed on the inside — struggling with anxiety, perfectionism, friendship or dating struggles, or a harsh inner critic. Some notice the same patterns repeating or feel unsure of who they are and what they want. If you’re ready to look a little deeper, we’ll likely be a good fit. I offer a steady, supportive space to explore the inner stuff you’ve been carrying around. I bring warmth, curiosity, and a sense of humor to our work, helping therapy feel human, relatable, and sometimes even a little fun. I use talk therapy as our foundation, and when it’s a good fit, I may also bring in EMDR, a well-researched approach that helps your brain process difficult experiences — whether from the past or present — so they feel less intense and less triggering. I also draw from practical skills, mindfulness, and self-exploration tools to help you feel more grounded, confident, and in control — ready to move through college with greater clarity, self-trust, and maybe even a few laughs along the way.

My clients don't come to therapy to hear someone nod and agree with everything they say. That isn't worth their time or money. They want real help. They want to know "what to do" and "how to fix it" because they are struggling with depression, severe anxiety, relationship problems, trauma, suicidal thoughts, parenting issues, and other painful situations. They're looking for a true expert that they can actually talk to. I am a member of PSYPACT which means I can see clients in every state that is a member of PSYPACT. I'm also licensed in both TN and MA. I'm a DBT-Linehan Board Certified Clinician and an expert in Borderline Personality Disorder, anxiety disorders, PTSD, self-harm, and oppositional adolescents. I am an Associate faculty member at Vanderbilt University and have served as a trainer and consultant for a variety of hospitals, schools, and the military. I founded and own PSYCHē, PLLC, a private network of therapists across multiple states. Our job is to pair our clients with great clinicians all over the country. PSYCHē also offers various Standard DBT skills groups and Radically Open DBT (RO-DBT) skills classes online ranging from $100-$125. New members can begin right away! Visit www.psychepllc.com/groups for more information about groups, meeting times, or to enroll online. Changing people's lives for the better is my life's purpose and where I get a sense of meaning. I love my job :) I look forward to meeting you.

** Telehealth and In-Person appointments.** We all long for our experiences, feelings, and needs to be seen, recognized, and honored. I bring to our work deep respect for your concerns and suffering. I place the therapeutic relationship at the heart of our work together which I approach with curiosity and empathy. I am most interested in what your unique experience is, and I aim to listen deeply on our road toward understanding. A safe-enough space will help us to transform your patterns of experience that interfere with your ability to be compassionate with yourself, to build meaningful relationships, and to work and play creatively, in other words, to live a fulfilling life. I am humbled by the complexity of human existence and feel honored to work with individuals from different racial and cultural backgrounds, sexual and gender identities, as well as spiritual and religious affiliations. In addition to my private practice, I am an Instructor in Psychology at Harvard Medical School (part-time) and supervise psychology interns and psychiatrist fellows. I served as the co-chair of the American Psychological Association’s (APA) Society for Psychoanalysis and Psychoanalytic Psychology Graduate Student Committee helping young clinicians explore and develop their professional identities.

Grounded and raised in a Chinese immigrant and Vietnamese refugee family, my roots and experiences have amplified my passion to shatter taboos in the AAPI community. I am committed to raising awareness and access to spaces of healing to communities of color. I will offer you a culturally-responsive, collaborative space to share your story. I aim to apply an anti-oppressive framework at the heart of my practice; and care deeply about the impact of intergenerational and race-based trauma. I value authenticity, transparency, and humor in our journey! The complexities of juggling responsibilities as a student, employee, caregiver, etc., can be super exhausting and I'm here to tell you that I see you! You are more than just a person embedded in an institution and your emotionality should be heard and cared for.

I'm a PhD psychologist, with advanced training beyond my doctorate from Boston Psychoanalytic Society and Institute. My orientation is relational, psychodynamic therapy. This means I focus with you on whatever dynamics might have been set in motion when you were younger as well as with present day difficulties. I work with people who are struggling with feelings of sadness and anxiety, worries about self esteem, identity, friendships, relationships and career issues among many other things. Inevitably, life presents difficulties, and can be challenging for many different reasons. Sometimes the things that bring people to therapy are very specific: perhaps a major life transition has become overwhelming, or certain patterns within a relationship are starting to take a toll. Pressures in some particular setting, whether it is at school, at work, or at home, may be feeling too difficult to navigate alone. Other times, people come to therapy a little less certain, feeling confused and unsure about where their life is headed, wanting something more. It’s not always easy to answer the question, “What brings you here?” People tend to doubt their inner strengths, and don’t quite realize how many resources they in fact possess. I have found that, though conversation with a trusted person, people can more easily identify and then build on those strengths. In my work with children, we often talk about expanding their “toolbox,” so that they have the skills to better manage overwhelming emotions and navigate complicated social situations. With teenagers and young adults, we often find ourselves talking about questions of identity development - the process of learning about who we are, how we got there, and what we want for ourselves moving forward. I see growth and development as a lifetime process, and, in my work with adults, we address all these issues in increasingly varied and complex ways, while also working together to navigate complex challenges presented by a world that can be arbitrary and unfair. My past experiences, doing individual and family therapy with people of all ages, of diverse backgrounds, and difficult, sometimes traumatic histories and life circumstances, have engendered within me a core belief that with the right support and collaboration, it is possible to make meaningful and long-lasting changes.

At times in our lives we need additional support to navigate challenges and strengthen our internal capacity to cope. Together we will strive to understand your unique story and identify areas you want to work on in our meetings. Often this means increasing your awareness of patterns, understanding your own emotional responses, and strengthening coping skills. My style as a therapist is collaborative, relational, and strengths based. I use multiple treatment modalities including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) which is a treatment that facilitates healing from emotional distress from difficult life experiences, as well as solution focused and cognitive behavioral techniques. It is a great privilege as a therapist to walk with others on their path toward growth and healing. I hope we can work togethe
