Putting experience into words lessons difficulties and facilitates creative, individual ways of making it through life. For couples, fully expressing thoughts and feelings reduces the risk of relationships becoming more strained and faltering. Currently, I am seeing individuals interested in analytic work and couples. Psychoanalysis is the deeper exploration of unconscious dynamics that make you who you are. Understanding the full range of your life experiences and how they have shaped you can free you to pursue the life you want. For creative individuals, an analytic approach is especially helpful in working toward more sustain focus, deeper artistic aims, and an integration of the artist self. Meetings are by telephone or video through the fall, and optionally may continue. I am a candidate at the Massachusetts Institute for Psychoanalysis and a licensed psychologist.

I am a licensed clinical psychologist specializing in diagnostic assessments and evaluations and psychotherapy. We assess clients with a diverse range of clinical difficulties (e.g., Autism Spectrum, developmental/learning disabilities, psychiatric conditions, traumatic brain injury, ). As a clinician, my overarching goals are to help clients and their families assess for diagnoses that will inform treatment and advocate for supportive accommodations and/or services. Hello and welcome! Having worked in academic settings as a teacher and college counselor since 2004, I understand the multiple stressors that can impact students' lives. In my practice, I primarily lead with an interpersonal, relational framework to assist you in establishing a safe and supportive space from which treatment can begin. My co-therapist is my dog, Dahlia, who will serve as a comforting companion in your introspective journey. I also incorporate elements of Internal Family Systems, Animal Assisted Therapy (Canine), Nature Walk Therapy, Psychodynamic, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, and Mindfulness models when clinically appropriate. Most of my sessions are done online with the option for in-person Nature Therapy sessions, when requested. The emphasis of our collaboration will be on developing new paradigms for self-compassion, cultivating self-care practices, and expanding your self-awareness. Let me know how I might help.
Welcome! I am a dual Board Certified Nurse Practitioner (psychiatry mental health and Family medicine) I began my career as a Cardiac Intensive Care nurse at a major teaching hospital in New York City. I have 35+ years of experience in nursing and a wealth of experience in almost all areas of mental health. I manage and treat a wide range of mental health concerns, including depression, anxiety disorders, attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and bipolar illness. Whether you are interested in finding a medication prescriber who can continue a treatment regimen that is already working well or seeking psychiatric services for the first time, I am excited to work with you to achieve your goals. Many people struggle alone for months or years with symptoms of anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, ADHD, or other mental health problems. Reaching out for help is a crucial, courageous first step to improving mental wellness. In my practice, I prescribe medications to treat your symptoms when appropriate and safe. Although, I never solely rely on psychiatric medications as a complete fix. I utilize other treatment modalities as well (nutrition modification, sleep hygiene, and physical fitness). The Mind-Body connection is at the core of my treatment plan. I draw from my extensive background in internal medicine and years of psychiatric experience to inform my treatment decisions. We can work together to improve your quality of life. Please email me if you are interested in scheduling an intake appointment.

I became a therapist to provide support and affirmation to folks with systemically oppressed identities (e.g., trans and queer folks, ADHDers, kinksters, chronically ill/disabled folks, POC, cis women). I am dedicated to working with individuals facing interpersonal, life, and identity-related challenges, such as navigating gender roles and emerging adulthood (college and grad students welcome!). I collaborate with clients on a variety of concerns, such as anxiety, relationships/dating, boundaries, difference in views/beliefs from family of origin, and imposter syndrome. In my work, I use approaches such as Relational-Cultural Therapy (RCT) and Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT) to support clients. I like to mix in gentleness, deep exploration, celebration, and the occasional “dad joke” to our work. My clients tell me this approach makes them feel truly heard, learn to advocate for themselves, and move toward their values. I believe that you deserve frank, warm support and to not be handled with kid gloves (or the dreaded, overly soothing “therapist voice”). If you want to invite me onto your therapy journey, I’d be thrilled to hear from you. I offer a free, 15 minute consultation to discuss what you hope to gain from therapy and to tell you more about what I can offer you. My Background and Approach I am devoted to building genuine, nourishing connections with my clients. My graduate training focused on providing multiculturally affirming therapy to people of a variety of backgrounds and intersecting identities. I also trained in evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT) to aid clients in achieving their therapeutic goals. I have specialized training in working with members of the LGBTQIA2S+ community and the young adult population, both in university and community health settings. Last, I bring my lived experience as a Queer, White, chronically ill, genderqueer being to my work with clients. I own my privilege and discuss, as it arises, power dynamics that may occur between us due to our identities, beliefs, and experiences. I believe these conversations are critical for full honesty and trust in your mental health journey.

Having grown up and trained in Boston, I am proud to serve the community that is my home. Creating a space where you feel heard, safe, and supported is critical to my practice. Whether we are navigating a new diagnosis, exploring medication options or working to better understand your thoughts and behavioral patterns, we will work together to find an approach that works for you. Education is the backbone of my practice so you feel informed and empowered to make the best decision for you or your child. My goal is to provide you with tools to build insight and coping skills to better support yourself in your mental health journey.
Chi is all about helping you feel more present in your life. With a fusion of cognitive-behavioral therapy, talk therapy, and Eastern philosophies, Chi brings a fresh perspective to help you. Imagine feeling more present, less stressed, and in tune with your mind, body, and spirit. That's Chi's mission – to empower you to thrive holistically. Whether you're dealing with stress, anxiety, depression or just need someone to talk to, Chi is your ally, dedicated to co-creating positive changes that resonate with you. A typical session begins with a brief check-in; we then proceed to engage in mindfulness or somatic-centered exercises designed to enhance coping skills. Toward the end of the session, we integrate these skills, empowering you to overcome distress and feel more present in your daily life. My journey started unexpectedly one day by chance or fate when I stumbled upon a book on Eastern philosophy and mindfulness while browsing through a thrift store. It was a serendipitous moment that introduced me to mindfulness and its potential to improve well-being. Intrigued by what I read, I found myself drawn into the practice of mindfulness. This newfound passion eventually inspired me to pursue a master's degree in counseling, setting me on the path I'm on today. I strive to create an open and safe environment for collaboration and exploration with my clients. My approach is anti-oppressive and I celebrate each individual's expression of identity and cultural differences.

I love this technique!
I believe that everyone has the strength and resilience already in themselves to overcome challenges, navigate difficult circumstances, and have meaningful connections with others. My approach to therapy is strength-based, holistic, and largely focuses on using mindfulness-based techniques and practices. In the last 14 years I have had the privilege to work with a wide variety of students from diverse backgrounds, cultures, identities, and lived experiences. I've had the privilege to work with first generation college students, international students, adult learners pursuing a second career, and younger students adjusting to independent life and college for the first time. In the past 4 years I have specialized in in working with college and graduate students pursuing advanced degrees in the health sciences field. I understand how challenging it can be to navigate these stressful times and how difficult it can be to find a balance between taking care of yourself and reaching your academic potential. It can get better and I'd like to help.
