Therapists for college students near Boston, MA
I tend to work best with students who are struggling with relationships, attachment, and life transitions. Many of the people I work with notice patterns in their relationships feeling anxious, overthinking, fearing abandonment, homesick or feeling like they give more than they receive. Others may be going through changes in friendships, family dynamics, dating, or figuring out who they are and what they want. College and young adulthood can bring a lot of change, and sometimes those transitions can bring up deeper emotions or past experiences that affect how we connect with others. In therapy, I focus on creating a space where you can be open and honest without feeling judged. Together we explore relationship patterns, emotional responses, and what might be underneath them. My goal is to help you better understand yourself, build healthier relationships, set boundaries, and feel more confident navigating change.

Do you spend so much time caring for other people’s needs that your own get lost in the process? Does it feel like everything will fall apart if you slow down? Being the go-to person can cost you a lot of anxiety, sleepless nights, and/or panic. Long hours, high stress, and the constant demands of school, family, and responsibilities leaves little room to focus on how you actually feel physically and emotionally, leading to exhaustion, irritability, and relationship issues. Therapy is a way to reconnect with yourself, set boundaries without guilt, and finally get off the hamster wheel of pleasing, perfecting, and performing. With over 20 years of experience as a therapist specializing in anxiety, burnout, and relationships, we’ll work together to create a new way forward, with proven strategies you can implement daily to complete the stress response cycle, practice self compassion, and fully recognize your self-worth as separate from your accomplishments and/or other's opinions. No matter what you are going through, you can emerge as something greater. I truly enjoy working collaboratively with patients seeking help to gain insight, make changes in how they cope with stress and emotions, alter stuck patterns in their lives, and learn new, more effective ways to relate interpersonally. I would love to meet you and see if we can connect to improve whatever has been causing you pain or struggle. You may be dealing with everyday stresses of college life and demands, adjustment to a new college environment, complicated or traumatic family history, or trying to achieve relief or remain stable with significant diagnoses such as PTSD, depression, anxiety, mild to moderate eating disorders, and emotional intensity. I have extensive experience treating survivors of trauma. These experiences can lead to an array of difficulties including PTSD, dissociation, anxiety, depression, and emotional dysregulation. I am experienced at working with any of these problems/diagnoses and more. I work with each person individually to identify treatment goals and decide what approach might be the best fit. I tend to integrate treatment models in my thinking and practice, with intensive training completed in Dialectical Behavior Therapy and advanced training in psychodynamic treatment. My style is warm and non-judgmental, sensitive, deeply caring, and very appreciative of humor and creativity- these are incredible human resources. I look forward to meeting you and hope we can forge an important supportive relationship that also provides change and promotes growth in these pivotal years.
Finding the right therapist with whom to create a strong therapeutic alliance is paramount to success. I work with my clients in a framework of compassion, honesty, trust and safety. Together we will identify your goals, empower you to change what you can in your life and to learn acceptance, not passive resignation, for that which you can not change. Carl Jung put it best, “I am not what happened to me, I am what I choose to become”. I work with individuals on a range of issues including depression, anxiety, trauma, past developmental issues and concerns regarding family and relationships. I vary the treatment approach to fit each client, using methods such as cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, strengths based, psychodynamic, solutions focused and mind body techniques. In alliance, we can help you get the life you want and deserve.

I give my clients tools to help themselves adjust and adapt to their individual struggles, such as death of a love one, stress, relational breakups and a spectrum of traumas. I am a guide to help my clients resolve their temporary block.

Hello! As a master’s graduate from Boston University School of Medicine, with a concentration in Mental Health Counseling and Behavioral Medicine, I am passionate about the connection between our bodies and our minds and how to incorporate mindfulness into our daily lives. I believe that mental health is just as important as physical health and should be treated as equal! In the therapeutic space, my goal is to empower clients to explore their thoughts, emotions, and experiences. I specialize in working with children and adolescents, and the unique need of obstacles that may arise in their different stages of life. Additionally, I also work with adult clients, families, and therapeutic groups. My therapeutic approach is integrative, combining various modalities like CBT, mindfulness, and narrative therapy. I use empathy and evidence-based practices to meet each client's unique needs. My work is centered around supporting individuals who are struggling with anxiety, ADHD, depression, mood disorders, behavioral concerns, and family issues. When working with children and adolescents I utilize play therapy and creative techniques to engage young clients in the therapeutic process. I aim to empower children to express themselves and work through challenges in a way that feels both natural and comfortable for them. Additionally, I am particularly attuned to the challenges and opportunities that come with transitional phases of life for adolescents and young adults. From identity exploration to navigating peer relationships and academic pressures, I provide support and guidance to help adolescents build resilience and confidence as they navigate through this season of life. For adults seeking support, I offer a collaborative and strengths-based approach focused on promoting self-awareness, personal growth, and emotional well-being. Whether addressing anxiety, depression, relationship issues, or life transitions, I partner with clients to develop strategies for coping and thriving in all aspects of their lives. My ultimate goal as a therapist is to empower individuals and families to overcome obstacles, build resilience, and lead fulfilling and healthy lives.
