Hi my name is Bill. I am Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in Massachusetts. I graduated with my Master's degree in Counseling Psychology from Cambridge College in 2000. Since that time, I have worked with children, teens, adults, couples, individuals and families involved with the Department of Mental Health, Department of Children and Families and multiple law enforcement agencies. I have worked with trauma, abuse, anxiety, depression, anger, domestic violence, addiction, parent-child relationships, communication problems, grief and loss, personality disorders, et cetera. I use an eclectic, strengths based, trauma informed approach to therapy. I have experience using Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, other Cognitive Behavioral therapies
I am a psychotherapist in private practice in Manhattan. After finishing a Masters of Social Work at the University of Pennsylvania, I completed a four year post-graduate program at the William Alanson White Institute, a psychoanalytic institute in New York City. In my practice, I work with people who are experiencing a variety of concerns, including depression, anxiety and relationship difficulties. I also work with individuals who are interested in improving their understanding of themselves or an aspect of their lives, or who want to be better able to make choices that lead to a sense of fulfillment. My goal is to provide a warm and collaborative relationship in which these topics can be explored. I believe that a successful therapeutic relationship is based on trust and can help bring about growth and change. I offer clinical supervision to psychotherapists in private practice and as part of the William Alanson White Institute's Intensive Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy Training Program. I am also an Associate Editor for the academic journal Contemporary Psychoanalysis.

I help adults in all phases of life. I help my clients work through new and past traumas, and through typical or unexpected life transitions. In therapy we can make meaning, find purpose, or forge new paths. Many clients come for help managing symptoms of depression, anxiety, anger, or addictions. Therapy can be to heal, recover, sort through, reconnect, rejuvenate, strengthen, or change aspects of your life to make it more manageable & meaningful. I primarily work with college-age students as they navigate this transitional time in their lives. I currently have early and late evening appointments as well as Saturdays 10-1.
