Therapists for college students near Harvard University
Navigating OCD, anxiety, relationships, and life transitions can be emotionally and physically draining. There is little more frustrating than thinking and behaving in the same ways despite knowing they contribute to these issues and other debilitating symptoms. Therapy is a place to safely explore the thoughts, behaviors, and relationships that are interfering with living a more fulfilling and rewarding life. I am a trained OCD specialist and an active member of the International OCD Foundation (IOCDF). I have extensive experience working with college undergrad and graduate students from my time as a counselor at the University of Colorado, Boulder and at Bryant University. Working directly on a college campus has provided me with a unique understanding of the intersection between academics and mental health, as well as how to navigate many campus systems best. Currently, in my private practice, I work with college students from the many different colleges in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Colorado. The majority of clients that I work with are navigating Anxiety or OCD and Related Disorders. My clinical approach to therapy is grounded in ERP, ACT, and CBT. I believe therapy is built around compassion, respect, and trust. I look forward to connecting with you and exploring how we can collaboratively achieve your treatment goals. Send me an email, give me a call, or visit my website (www.smithlicsw.com) to set up an appointment. If you are struggling and are tired of trying to handle things alone, please do not hesitate to get in touch. * I provide telehealth services to clients in Massachusetts, New York, Rhode Island, Illinois, Vermont, and Colorado.*
I believe in the power of relationships. We show ourselves, and become ourselves, through our relationships with others. I seek to provide a safe space for collaborative exploration of your thoughts and feelings, including those that may have been pushed aside. By working together to give voice to your desires and fears, and develop non-judgmental awareness of your inner conflicts, you can learn how to give yourself what you need and build resilience. I am a Licensed Psychologist, primarily trained in psychodynamic and family systems practices. specialized in working with adults struggling with anxiety, depression, eating disorders, traumatic experiences, and acculturation/identity issues. I am bilingual (English-Spanish) and bicultural, and have an interest in multicultural clients' needs. I individualize/tailor my therapeutic approach to meet the needs and goals of each client, because this should be about you. Whether you yearn for peace, love, authenticity, balance, or even if you do not know what is missing in your life, please contact me to learn more about how therapy can help you find it.
Starting therapy can feel like a nerve-wracking process. To ease this, I prioritize developing a genuine connection so that you can feel seen, heard, and valued in session. I believe that therapy is not a "one size fits all" practice. We all have different personalities, different histories, and different needs. My eclectic style as a therapist draws upon multiple therapeutic approaches and theories to better tailor treatment to you and your individuality. If you are interested in therapy centered on compassion, connection, humor, and authenticity- I am here to help!

Hello! I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Massachusetts with extensive experience treating adults, children, and adolescents dealing with and healing from trauma, among other mental health and life difficulties. I have worked in various treatment settings, both clinical and educational, to assist clients and patients with social-emotional goals, and I bring this varied background and experience to my private practice. My practice serves young adults and adults (17+), and I specialize in the treatment of trauma, depression, and anxiety. I am accepting clients for in-person and telehealth sessions.
I offer a practical, warm and direct approach to working on the struggles that bring people to therapy. My website and psychology today has more information about me. See below for URL to both. www.dansutelman.com https://www.psychologytoday.com/profile/340233
I work at CampusCare Counseling. I am trauma-informed in my approach. This means I work with clients to build trust, taking into consideration personal and socio-cultural factors, with the goal of forming a therapeutic relationship that empowers clients and allows their authentic selves to be in the therapy space. I believe growth, as defined by the client, happens from there. When clinically indicated, I pull from my experience and training with trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, and EMDR. Additionally, I use psychodynamic, existential, and feminist perspectives to inform my work.
Being a student in today's sociopolitical climate is incredibly challenging. As cognitive-behavioral and dialectical-behavioral therapists, we work with students who have wide-ranging concerns, including, but not limited to: anxiety, OCD, PTSD, fear of flying and other phobias, stress, depression, emotion dysregulation, self-harm, suicide, and general malaise. Our approach is collaborative and guided by core principles to help you harness your strengths in regaining control of your thoughts, feelings, and relationships. We will work closely with you to guide you towards the change you seek and life you envision. You will make lasting change towards your personal, academic, and professional goals when you work with us.
It is hard to get in a groove and to recover after the times of solitude, separation, and all things unknown we’ve experienced. You know yourself the best, but everyone needs help, support and help connecting these days. No one has been through this before! If you would like someone to connect with, to talk with about figuring out things that are best for you and your people, feel free to contact me. I am working with individuals in person (mostly) and have flexible hours. No topic is off limits. I would very much look forward to talking with you.

Welcome to Lily Mental Health! College can be one of the most exciting times of life — and also one of the hardest. Between academics, relationships, identity shifts, and the pressure to “have it all figured out,” it’s easy to feel overwhelmed, anxious, or disconnected. On the outside you may look like you’re managing, but inside you may be struggling with stress, burnout, or the feeling that you’re not yourself. I’ve worked with hundreds of college students who’ve faced challenges like anxiety, depression, ADHD, burnout, trauma, and major life transitions. Many have already tried counseling, medications, or coping strategies, but still feel stuck and want something more thoughtful, practical, and personalized. My name is Julie Bass, I am a Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) and Certified Perinatal Mental Health Provider (PMH-C). I have worked in mental health for over 10 years and offer a blend of medication management and integrative strategies that go beyond quick fixes. My practice is intentionally small so I can provide personalized care — not rushed diagnoses or one-size-fits-all treatment plans. I take the time to really understand your story, explore the root causes of your symptoms, and help you find sustainable ways forward. I especially enjoy working with college students navigating identity, independence, and transitions, as well as international students, who often carry the added stress of being far from home, balancing cultural expectations, and adapting to a new environment. I also know how busy student schedules can be, so I offer early morning, evening, and weekend appointments to make care more accessible. If you’ve ever thought: “I should be able to handle this, but I feel like I can’t.” “I’m doing everything right, but I still don’t feel better.” “No one seems to actually listen.” …know that you’re not alone. My practice is built on the belief that you deserve care that feels collaborative, respectful, and empowering — care that helps you understand yourself and create lasting change. This is a space where your voice matters. Let’s work together to help you feel grounded, confident, and connected again.

Bret is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor working in the Harvard Square section of Cambridge, MA. Bret brings a history of working in diverse clinical settings to bear on the work he does with his clients. His range of experiences include in-patient psychiatric settings, partial hospitalization programs, college counseling centers, and the Massachusetts correctional system. He has worked with those seeking therapy for the first time, as well as folks who have experienced a lifetime of navigating the mental health system. Through each of those settings, one constant has remained in the work he has done, which is the conviction that healing only happens through the establishment of a meaningful and authentic therapeutic relationship. Bret’s eclectic history has enabled him to develop a rich and integrated approach to collaborating with the people he forms connections with in his work. In his private practice, Bret works with adults college-age and older. His abiding belief is that in his work he is not working with a diagnosis or a set of symptoms, but with a person with a unique set of complex challenges that have encouraged them to seek assistance from a caring professional. As such, he feels comfortable working with a broad spectrum of therapeutic concerns. However, given his work in corrections, Bret has developed a unique capacity to connect with those who may be skeptical of the therapeutic process or struggled to find success in other therapies. Additionally, Bret specializes in working with young men who have difficulty forming meaningful connections, finding effective ways to express their emotions, and managing impulsivity and aggression towards themself and others. Bret is currently available for in-person and online sessions
My style is warm, empowering, and deeply collaborative. I work from the understanding that the therapeutic relationship itself is a powerful vehicle for healing, built on fostering genuine compassion and unconditional positive regard. I use an integrative approach tailored to clients’ unique needs, drawing from psychodynamic, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). My work is trauma-informed, integrating mindfulness, Liberation Health, and anti-oppressive frameworks, while emphasizing awareness and somatic experience. I work with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, identity concerns, relationship and family dynamics, and college adjustment. I specialize in supporting the LGBTQIA+ community, people with disabilities, and individuals navigating chronic illness. I offer an affirming space for diverse identities and relationship dynamics. In addition to a Master of Social Work, I have a Master of Education in Educational Leadership & Policy Studies and a background as a health and wellness/biology teacher, which provides me with a unique understanding of the challenges students encounter in educational environments.
