I'm here to help you figure out a life where you get to be who you want to be.
Hi, thanks for stopping by! I value a person-centered approach that is tailored to your unique needs. I am invested in cultivating a warm and gentle environment for you to feel comfortable bringing your full self to sessions. I work with both adults and adolescents, and can see clients in person or over telehealth. I earned my master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling from Ball State University, where I worked with college students in a university counseling setting. My background includes addressing issues such as anxiety, depression, identity development, and relationship concerns. I've supported individuals in processing intense emotions, building positive strategies for improving mental health, and building compassion for all parts of self. I also have a strong commitment to supporting individuals from the LGBTQ+ community. I look forward to joining you on your path to healing and growth.
Everyone lives a diverse, intersectional existence with idiosyncratic experience. Acknowledging this means relating to others with inclusivity, openness, and humility. This philosophy not only humanizes students, many of whom identify as marginalized community members (e.g., BIPOC, LGBTQ+, accessibility needs, low-SES), but also honors their authenticity. Thus, I practice from an existential-humanistic-relational lens so I can naturally tailor therapy with evidence-based techniques (e.g., CBT, SFT, ACT) and psychological theories (e.g., identity, attachment, multicultural) necessary for understanding students’ intersectionality. I typically work with students experiencing elevated anxiety and depression, while specializing in identity development, interpersonal dynamics (e.g., relating to others), relational trauma, and existential concerns (e.g., authenticity, choice, meaning). Early sessions help form a therapeutic alliance, revealing underlying issues that manifest as psychological distress (e.g., anxiety, depression, trauma). From there, we identify coping skills, foster hope, and alleviate symptoms as you gain insight-oriented feedback. We also collaborate to explore, discover, and empower actions for you to become the most authentic version of self. The modern world is daunting, with a pace and pivot difficult to navigate. The rapid spin of sudden chaos. Steady drift of aimless wander. Dead still of eternal stagnation. As a serving spirit, I provide a healthy space for students to be and become that who they are and will be. Here, all are welcome. Here… all are an expression of hope and self-empowerment.

We understand that asking for help can be scary. You may question what others think or wonder if you really need counseling, but we all get stuck sometimes. You are not alone. Life can become challenging and overwhelming, making you want to escape or avoid external problems or your own needs. Therapy doesn’t solve all of the problems; it gives you a place to explore yourself in the midst of them. It provides support and tools to build your understanding, courage, and resilience – because you deserve healing, wholeness, fulfillment, and peace.
Everyone deserves support, however they arrive — color-coded planner in hand or running five minutes late with coffee spilled down their shirt. Anxious, calm, talkative, quiet, existentially confused — you’re welcome here. The bigger question is really: Am I your kind of therapist? You might read my profile and think, “She gets me,” or, “Why is she so emotionally invested in foxes and axolotls?” Either way, I promise I’m still licensed. I’m an LPC-MHSP, LCPC with over nine years of experience. I mainly work with PTSD, OCD, DV/SA, and BPD. I also see a range of other concerns—because humans are complex, and the universe did not consult the DSM before handing out life experiences. People usually open up more when they don’t feel pressure to perform or deliver a TED Talk about their feelings. Autonomy matters to me. You get to ask questions, collaborate on your treatment, and arrive exactly as you are — glamorously put-together or held together by three bobby pins and sheer willpower. If you need to laugh, cry, swear, or take a strategic pause while your soul hits “buffering,” that’s part of the process. Life gets messy… it's real and unfiltered. *** I schedule by appt so I do not have posted hours. Please just reach out. I am flexible!
I practice from an insight oriented, relational, and multicultural approach tailored to meet the unique needs of each individual I work with. My priority as a therapist is to create a warm, collaborative, non-judgmental space where you can work through your concerns and make the changes in your life you desire. In my experience, symptoms often “mark the spot” of a deeper themes you may be grappling with and I aim to assist you uncover what the root of your concerns may be. Often therapy helps increase self-awareness, develop deeper understanding of how past experiences may be influencing the present, and provides an opportunity to learn tools to address problematic behavior(s). Having spent the majority of my training and professional life working in university counseling centers, I am passionate about working with college and graduate students. I completed my pre-doctoral internship at Pace University in New York City and my postdoctoral fellowship at University of Chicago Student Counseling Service where I gained experience working with life-transitions, relationship issues, eating disorders, and sexual trauma. Other areas of interest include identity development and intersectionality, family dynamics, anxiety, and stress management.

My favorite thing in the world is to affirm for someone that their feelings matter. I want you to feel safe expressing all of your thoughts and emotions. My specialties include mood disorders (anxiety and depression), self-esteem issues, and ADHD. I use an eclectic approach, meaning that I tailor your therapeutic experience to fit your specific needs. Before anything else, I prioritize and value the relationship I build with each person I work with and believe that therapy is a unique space where growth and change occurs through a strong, collaborative relationship. As your therapist, you can expect us to explore both your past and present experiences, as I believe our past often shapes how we experience ourselves, our relationships, and the world today. My goal is to help you develop greater self-awareness, authenticity, and curiosity about yourself. Together, we'll explore both your thoughts and emotions to better understand your experiences and identify meaningful ways to move forward. I believe that while there is much about the human experience that we all share, each person's story, identities, and life circumstances are uniquely their own. I see you as the expert on your own life and view therapy as a collaborative process. While you set the direction, I'm here to offer guidance and help us determine where our work can be most meaningful. I consider myself very much a "talk therapist," meaning I believe much of the therapeutic change occurs within the therapy relationship and room itself. I also strive to create a space that feels genuine, relaxed, and approachable. Therapy can absolutely involve difficult emotions, but it can also include laughter and moments of joy along the way.
