Hi there—I’m Odira, a Licensed Professional Counselor with over a decade of experience guiding students and young adults through life’s twists and turns. I understand how hard it can be to fit therapy into a busy schedule, so I offer sessions only in the evenings and on weekends, whether we meet in person in Abilene, TX, or connect virtually across Texas and Colorado. Many students wrestle with anxiety, depression, stress, grief, and relationship ups and downs. That’s why I blend person-centered, holistic, and eclectic approaches to create a space that’s uniquely yours. You know your story best—I’m here to listen, offer fresh perspectives, and partner with you to build practical tools for navigating transitions, strengthening connections, and fostering growth. Over the years, I’ve led behavioral health teams and delivered therapy in community and clinical settings—experience that’s deepened my understanding of the pressures you face on campus and beyond. My passion is creating a warm, collaborative environment where you can explore your strengths, cultivate resilience, and gain clarity. Ready to get started during those after-work or weekend hours? Welcome! Starting therapy is a big step. I understand how overwhelming it can be to experience anxiety, stress, or intrusive thoughts. It takes courage to seek help, and I am so glad you are here! Therapy is most effective when it is tailored to you and uses research-backed treatment. I use evidence-based methods, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP). These therapies are supported to alleviate symptoms and empower you to reclaim your life—returning to activities that anxiety may have previously taken you away from.

Hello! I’m a therapist in private practice, and I work best with students and young adults who feel like they’re carrying a lot on the inside while trying to keep up on the outside. Many of the clients who are a great fit for my practice are navigating anxiety, low mood, self-esteem struggles, emotional dysregulation, grief and loss, the impact of past painful experiences, and major life transitions (starting college, changing majors, moving away from home, new relationships). If you feel overwhelmed, stuck, or like you “should be doing better” but can’t seem to turn it around, you’re not alone. Students often reach out when they’re: • Feeling anxious, overwhelmed, or constantly “on edge.” • Stuck in overthinking, perfectionism, or procrastination • Feeling down, numb, unmotivated, or like it’s hard to care about things you used to enjoy • Burned out from juggling school, work, family, or big life changes • Struggling with confidence, self-worth, or a harsh inner critic • Having trouble with relationships, boundaries, or communication • Trying to heal after a painful experience, or coping with grief and loss In our sessions, we’ll slow things down and make sense of what you’re feeling, what’s been happening, and what you want to change. My approach is flexible based on your needs, but I often use CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), which helps you notice unhelpful thought patterns, understand how they affect your feelings and choices, and practice new ways of coping that fit your life. We’ll set clear goals, build practical skills you can use between sessions, and we’ll move at a pace that feels safe, especially if you’re working through trauma or loss. My style is warm, straightforward, and collaborative. You don’t need to know what to say or have a “perfect” reason to start therapy. If you’re looking for a space that feels supportive and real, where you can be honest, get tools that help, and feel more like yourself, I’d be glad to connect. We can start with what’s most urgent and go at a pace that feels manageable.
The students I connect with most are often feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure of where they’re headed. Many of them are juggling school, relationships, family pressure, and trying to figure out who they are — all at once. They may look like they have it all together, but inside, they're feeling anxious, burnt out, or like they’re falling behind. What they all have in common is a desire for change — even if they’re not sure what that change looks like yet. They’re open to talking things through, getting real about what’s going on, and learning how to take small, manageable steps forward. If this sounds like you, you’re not alone. Therapy is a space where we can figure things out together — no judgment, no pressure, just support and tools that actually make sense for your life.

Trauma is not a one size fits all experience. I am a licensed professional counselor with a passion to create a safe, warm, and inviting environment for individuals to openly express life struggles and challenges that presents as traumatic experiences. That environment is a judgement free space where the individual can feel heard and seen. I have worked with individuals and groups aged 6 years old up to 65+ within the community, schools, churches, their home settings, and within private practice offices. Individuals who engage in therapy can expect to take away understanding and hope. This understanding of how to cope or manage their mental health stimulates hope that "YES! I can!"

New Perspective Counseling Services (NPCS) is a group of licensed mental health professionals who have come together with the common goal of providing the highest quality of care to the clients we serve. We offer a wide range of counseling services to individuals, couples, and families. Each clinician at NPCS brings their own experience, expertise and training to the group. We are LGBTQ+ affirming and provide a safe space for those from all walks of life. We accept most major health insurance plans, provide in-person appointment options at our office in Frisco, Texas, and provide Telehealth visits to those located in Texas and Colorado.
I am a board certified psychiatrist and provide combined psychotherapy and medication treatment. My patients are typically looking for therapy to address concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, and relationship issues. They are also often looking for support with evidence-based medication treatment. I listen carefully to understand the difficulties that bring someone to treatment and to understand their goals. I am collaborative in my approach. I approach psychotherapy from a psychodynamic perspective, where the goal is to increase understanding and insight into thoughts, feelings, and behavior. When we can understand ourselves better, we can then change patterns that may be getting in our way. This type of therapy can often lead to lasting change. Please note that because my practice is telehealth only, I do not prescribe controlled substances (for example, stimulants for ADHD or medications such as Xanax or Ativan for anxiety).
Forward Momentum Therapy Services is a solo private practice in Texas. I am bilingual (English & Spanish) with current availability. I offer in-person as well as telehealth sessions for your convenience. My office is located @ 4925 Davis Blvd. North Richland Hills, TX 76180. For those who would like to or need to keep a low profile, I offer concierge services in DFW. I accept Aetna, Cigna, Optum & BCBS of Mass (soon BCBS of Texas). I'm also a Tricare-Certified OON provider. For those with private insurance and Out-of-Network benefits, I provide superbills for reimbursement. As a licensed counselor, I believe the therapeutic process is a collaborative effort between the client and the counselor. I believe in the healing of the mind and body. My goal is that you feel safe, respected, heard, and seen. My approach is solution-focused and person-centered. I will provide you with a confidential, non-judgmental space to overcome your fears, to heal, and grow into the best version of yourself. I take an individualized therapeutic approach to each client’s needs after first assessing and determining the most helpful treatment modality. I prefer to focus on a person's positive qualities and assist them in moving forward by building upon those qualities to reach their personal goals. Do you feel like you're constantly trying to keep up? Maybe you're navigating a major life transition, managing anxiety or intrusive thoughts, trying to understand your neurodivergence, or feeling burned out from always striving to do more. You may look like you're doing well on the outside while feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected on the inside. Therapy can be a place to slow down, understand what's happening beneath the surface, and figure out what you actually want, not just what you think you "should" want. Hi, I’m Grace, and I’m a Licensed Master Social Worker who works with older adolescents, young adults, and adults navigating anxiety, life transitions, relationships, neurodivergence, OCD, and the stress that can come with being a high achiever.
Reaching out for therapy can feel like a big step, especially when you're carrying stress, uncertainty, or emotional pain. My goal working with clients is to create a supportive, collaborative space where you feel seen, understood, and valued just as you are. I work with clients who are navigating life, including anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, relationship challenges, identity exploration, etc. I take a strengths-based, relational approach to therapy, meaning I focus not only on the difficulties you're facing, but also on the resilience, insight, and abilities you already bring into the room. Together, we build on those strengths to foster growth, healing, and meaningful change. My work is grounded in the belief that healing happens through connection. I prioritize developing a genuine, trusting therapeutic relationship where clients feel safe to explore their experiences at their own pace. I meet you where you are at! As someone who is half Turkish, I also value cultural identity, background, and lived experiences as essential parts of the therapeutic process. Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or simply seeking greater self-understanding, therapy can be a place to find that and I would be honored to support you in that.
