As a college student or mid-career professional, trauma is the last thing you want to talk about. You wake up and take care of yourself. You go to class, go to work, clean your apartment, take care of your dog, go to the gym. You’re doing more than surviving- by many definitions, you are thriving! However, most people don’t know your story. A part of you feels grateful for your life, but another part wonders, "How would life be different if the (trauma) never happened to me?" You’re ready to let go of shame and guilt. You’re ready to transform trauma into a tool for meaningful change. You’re ready to renew your life. My practice specializes in providing clinical counseling and consulting services for diverse populations from a systemic lens. I provide individual and family counseling, evaluations for ADHD & autism, forensic family law evaluations, as well as clinical supervision for Mental Health Counseling and Marriage & Family Therapy interns seeking licensure in Florida. I focus my clinical work on helping adolescents and teens under stress and adults who have lived through difficult times as children. This means that many of my clients identify as Gen-Z, millennials, and high-achieving professionals who have experienced trauma in their families of origin and desire to seek and engage in healthier relationships with themselves and with others. In the last few years as my practice has become more specialized, a common denominator is that many of my clients are exploring their brain style and its accompanying traits. Consequently, my ideal client is someone exploring how their ADHD, giftedness, and/or autism are impacting their school & work performance, their mental & physical health, and their relationships. Neurodiversity affirming therapy is a client-centered approach that recognizes the diversity of human experience and promotes acceptance, inclusion, and empowerment for individuals with neurological differences. As a result, my therapeutic approach is strengths-based, supportive, goal-oriented, and trauma-informed. As a systemic therapist, that means addressing diversity, gender, power, and other sociocultural dimensions is an inherent part of the work we will do together. My own lived experience combined with over a decade of working with neurodivergent individuals and their families allows me to bring unique perspective and empathy to the therapeutic space. You might like my style if you are craving- or even open to – exploration of your inner child, befriending your body, gaining emotional intelligence, and navigating healthier relationships.

Many of the students I work with share something in common: they’re trying to juggle a lot at once. Between classes, assignments, work, relationships, and figuring out their future, life can feel overwhelming. Some struggle with stress and anxiety, others with low motivation, mood changes, or difficulty focusing. And many feel like they have to hold it all together on their own. In our work together, I provide a supportive space where you don’t have to have all the answers. My goal is to help you sort through what feels heavy, build tools to manage stress, and find balance so you can feel more like yourself again. You don’t need to know all the “right words” or have it figured out before you start—we’ll work together to make sense of what you’re going through. If you’re a student who feels stuck, overwhelmed, or just ready for extra support, this is a place where you can be honest, breathe easier, and move forward at your own pace.
I am a psychotherapist working with adult clients experiencing anxiety and stress related to identity development, relationship conflict, career/academic shifts, current events, acute and chronic health concerns, life changes, etc. The overwhelm, mood changes, and even apathy resulting from these issues can easily exhaust our available coping resources, and therapy sessions can provide additional tools to restore meaning and fulfillment to our lives. My goal is to provide the safe and supportive space needed to explore your emotions, develop new coping skills, achieve your goals, and navigate life transitions with confidence. I believe in the power of the therapeutic relationship to facilitate change, and I work collaboratively with my clients to create personalized treatment plans encouraging growth and wellness. My approach in session is down-to-earth and non-judgmental, and I strive to create a welcoming, healing environment utilizing a variety of therapy techniques. *Telehealth/video sessions I have spent most of my career working as a therapist in a college counseling center. I am very familiar with all the challenges that being a student and balancing a new life bring. Becoming who you are going to be -while feeling and balancing all the things can seem so overwhelming! I work well with students who are struggling with fear, anxiety (social and other), relationships, old memories, trauma, recovering from sexual assault, past abuse, family conflict, low self esteem, worthlessness, self harm, eating difficulties, existential crisis, coming out-LGBTQ, and multicultural issues. My students tend to learn who they are and what matters to them, how to feel more peaceful, more joyful, more at ease, and more self loving. They often learn how to communicate better, say no, sleep at night, and have healthier relationships with others. I partner a lot with people who are healing from PTSD, or are grieving and have suffered losses as well. A lot of my clients say they feel more courageous, more at home in their body, more content being themselves and trusting of themselves after we work together. They feel empowered and comfortable being who they are. Although I am a private pay practice, please ask me about my student discount.I have a passion for working with students. We can also talk about appointment availability. If you are covered by insurance, I can give you a Superbill to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.
