Hi, I'm Elizabeth and I'm so glad you're here! Therapy doesn't have to be stiff or serious all the time. In fact, I believe feeling comfortable enough to be your full, unfiltered self– including laughing, swearing, crying, or just sitting quietly– is where the real work happens. I use humor, compassion, & a deep respect for your lived experience to create a space where you can show up exactly as you are. A big part of my work is helping folks build a better relationship with their bodies- whether you're fat, thin, in between, transitioning, aging, disabled, or just feeling disconnected from yourself. I work with people of all ages! I am trained in EMDR and also pull from modalities like CBT, DBT, and IFS. I don't believe in a one-size-fits-all approach; you’re not a checklist, you're a complex, layered person. I approach body image through the lens of fat acceptance and body liberation. Together we can explore what it means to live in your body without shame, pressure, or apology. Therapy with me is collaborative, affirming, and shaped by your needs, goals, and pace. As a queer person myself, I understand the importance of feeling seen, safe, & understood. If you're looking for a therapist who can hold the hard stuff, laugh with you through the weird stuff, and support you in building a life that actually feels like yours- let’s talk!
Whatever it is that has brought you here, welcome! I work with folks facing a range of issues, with a specialty in trauma, anxiety, family conflict, LGBTQIA+ identity, and relationship issues. If you experience stress from caring for/about others and our environment, I am ready to support you. I am a climate-aware therapist, meaning I recognize climate grief and eco-anxiety as legitimate responses to a global crisis and important areas of attention in therapy to help you better navigate our changing world. In therapy, I attend to ways in which the ideas, actions and policies in our communities, cultures and families can be sources of both pain and resilience. I am committed to providing queer- and LGBTQIA+ affirming care, and I believe in the collaborative exploration of all intersections of identity that feel important to you. My experience informs my work. My career in international humanitarian aid and gender-based violence lends a unique perspective to trauma-informed care. Trained in Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, I bring neuroscience and the mind-body connection into therapy. Our work will explore how the body holds past experiences and how it can help you heal. I also support people in therapeutically integrating psychedelic experiences. I look forward to getting started!

Hi! Welcome and thank you for starting your journey. I am an empathetic, compassionate and thoughtful therapist. I will partner with you in building on your strengths in order to meet your goals and live the meaningful life you value and desire. I am a licensed clinical social worker and received my MSW from Boston University. I worked in community mental health prior to coming to Rasi Associates. I believe the greatest gift a therapist can offer is full presence with a compassionate ear. Many of my clients have sought therapy because something that was working for them was no longer working, or they noticed patterns in their lives that they wanted to change. Many felt unseen, unheard, and stuck in relationships. Some noticed patterns of anxiety or anger impact their relationship with others or their work. Some were experiencing family estrangement, contemplating cutoff, or processing the loss of a loved one. Whatever it is that brings you to our therapy space, I want you to walk away from a session having felt that I was with you on the other side, to make sense of things when nothing was making sense. Give yourself permission to be here as you are. What we acknowledge and admit to another becomes more real, and you matter. In our therapy space, even if you take your shoes off at the door, you can bring your whole self. I work with clients whose journey to therapy has been filled with ingenious ways to make due with what they have. Many find a major life transition (relationship, career, moving, school) challenging their current tools. Using attachment-based, somatic, and mindfulness-based therapies, we learn to slow down--to feel and then deal. To see where we may be unskillfully expending resources and how to reclaim them. Using an integrated-brain approach that values insight but doesn't stop there, I equip clients with an understanding of themselves in both their verbal and somatic narrative. As a social work-trained therapist, I strive to ensure that our therapeutic relationship is a refuge from larger systemic harm and trauma. I invite you to bring with you your current resources, social location, and values that you have inherited from your family of origin, ancestors, and communities. Please feel free to contact me for a free 20 minute phone consultation to see if we would be a good fit together.

Many people come to therapy feeling disconnected from their bodies, their relationships, or a clear sense of who they are... old wounds can show up through self-doubt, overthinking, numbness, or a feeling of not quite belonging. My clients are often introspective, sensitive, or creative souls that come to me during times of transition, burnout, relationship challenges, recovery from addiction, or when seeking a deeper connection to themselves and their purpose. Our therapy process will invite you to slow down, listen inwardly, and repair the hurt that restricts your vitality and authentic self-expression. I specialize in integrative therapy that blends relational talk therapy with body awareness, breath, inner child work, and earth-based practices. I draw from IFS, somatic therapies, psychodynamic therapy, and mindfulness-based approaches, while also incorporating ACT and CBT to support aligned action. My approach is non-pathologizing and collaborative. Our work will effectively move you towards: greater clarity and confidence in your choices; Emotional resilience and self-compassion; A more authentic connection to yourself and others; A sense of wholeness, direction, and purpose. If it feels like we could be a fit, I would love to hear from you. Reach out to schedule an initial session.
Although the road to wellness is not linear, there is hope, and change is possible. Depression and anxiety, worry, stress, and feeling overwhelmed- these are all familiar concerns and normal in the human experience. We've all experienced it. Sometimes they can be difficult to manage and that's when talk therapy can be incredibly useful. But most important: I'm glad you're here. Let's build a collaborative therapeutic relationship. Life is hard. Although I am not a specialist in Life itself, there are ways to balance and recalibrate ourselves with therapy tools. These tools have helped me and others I've served in the past. As an Asian American, LGBTQ+ identifying therapist, my experience may offer a unique perspective that helps you feel connected and heard. I offer a straightforward style with authenticity and real connection. Although this may be intimidating for clients who are new to therapy, it is a bridge that when crossed clients find satisfying and rewarding. The first step to reaching out and connecting is by call or email, and I look forward to hearing from you.

I work with anxious, overwhelmed women, including college students, young adults, millennials, and moms, who often feel stuck in their heads, emotionally drained, or unsure of themselves despite appearing capable and successful on the outside. You may be struggling with overthinking, perfectionism, people-pleasing, stress, social anxiety, self-doubt, burnout, life transitions, or the pressure of trying to keep up with everyone's expectations while figuring out what you truly want for yourself. Using CBT, mindfulness, and holistic approaches, I help you better understand your patterns, manage anxiety, navigate big emotions, build self-confidence, and create healthier boundaries. Together, we'll work toward reducing overwhelm, quieting your inner critic, and helping you feel more grounded, balanced, and connected to what matters most. Therapy is an opportunity to slow down, gain clarity, explore your identity and goals, and develop practical tools to navigate life's challenges with greater confidence and resilience. Whether you're adjusting to college, navigating a major life transition, struggling with relationships, or simply feeling lost, stuck, or overwhelmed, you don't have to figure it out alone. If you're ready to take the next step, I'd be honored to support you.
