Hi, I’m a Latina Christian therapist, and I work best with students who feel like they’re carrying a lot—whether it’s anxiety, depression, trauma, or just trying to figure out who they are. Many of my clients are first-generation immigrants or come from multicultural backgrounds and are navigating big transitions, like moving away from home, balancing family expectations, or finding their voice in new spaces. If you're feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or misunderstood, you're not alone. I use evidence-based approaches like EMDR to help process trauma, DBT and CBT to build practical coping skills, and even animal-assisted therapy for emotional support. I create a space where you can show up as your full self—culturally, spiritually, and emotionally—and be met with care and understanding. If that sounds like what you need, I’d be honored to walk alongside you.
If you are facing anxiety, depression, or having difficulty managing stressors, you are not alone. You have survived experiences no one should ever have to face. They have left you feeling depleted, broken, and worn out. You need a reminder of your dignity and resilience and some coping skills for dealing with this very challenging time. I'm here to help. I work with folks facing transitions across the lifespan. I have 25 years experience working with tweens and teens, first as a teacher, then as a counselor. I also love working with young adults as well -- especially those exploring their identity and sense of purpose. You have already taken the brave first step to consider counseling. Give me a call if you are ready to feel seen, heard, and supported as a person worthy of dignity who is ready to discover your best self in a difficult world.

I am a cognitive-behaviorally trained clinical and neuropsychologist. I obtained my PhD from the University of Connecticut and did clinical psychology re-tooling at Western Michigan University. Life can be brutal, can’t it?! Can you remember that time in life when you were happy, like top of the world scream it from the rooftops happy? In that moment, everything was right in your world and then well, life happened. Now you look back and have so many questions…What happened? Let me tell you, you are not alone! We’ve all been there in some season of life. But who says this can’t make us better! Every person comes to therapy with their own individual needs. Therefore, we adapt our interventions based on a comprehensive assessment of who you are and what you need. We are all trained in a number of different interventions and like to use a combination of our training and expertise to utilize an eclectic approach to best meet the needs of each individual person. We know that every individual is uniquely different and therefore each person should have a unique therapy journey based on their own needs.

Life can feel overwhelming—whether you're a parent, new mom, educator, or simply going through a tough season. You might be facing anxiety, postpartum struggles, burnout, infertility, or challenges with your child’s school experience, like IEPs or behavioral concerns. I work with teens, adults, and families navigating stress, parenting, transitions, or the complexities of adoption. Therapy can be a space to reflect, heal, and reconnect with yourself. You don’t have to have it all figured out—just be willing to start. You’ll find a safe, supportive space to feel validated and build skills like emotional regulation, coping, and communication. I use a compassionate, strengths-based, and trauma-informed approach, drawing on CBT and my 27 years of experience supporting teens and families. I will meet with you right where you are at and help you grow and heal from there. I really care about people and the stories they carry. Life can be messy, and therapy gives you space to talk it through, feel heard, and sort things out. We'll work together in a way that feels supportive and real—so you can better understand yourself, feel more like you, and start to move forward.
