You deserve a thoughtful and encouraging partner in your care. As a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with outpatient experience, I help adults, particularly those seeking culturally responsive care and comprehensive evaluations, navigate anxiety, depression, mood disorders, trauma, and life transitions. My approach is evidence-based, collaborative, and trauma-informed, as I am passionate about making sure you feel heard, supported, and empowered to understand your mental health and treatment options. I believe in meeting you with respect, curiosity, and compassion. My care incorporates psychoeducation and medication management to help you build understanding and insight into your health. As a thoughtful and collaborative partner, my style is warm, structured, and tailored to your unique needs and goals so you gain clarity, stability, and confidence during our work together. For five years I worked as a mental health technician and CNA, an experience that revealed the acute impact of mental health struggles up close. Witnessing the value of providing compassionate, patient-centered care deepened my own commitment to bringing a grounded, observant perspective and deep respect for each person’s lived experience to every session. My free time is all about discoveries and creativity! I enjoy traveling to new and favorite destinations, staying active, exploring music and culture, and checking out other creative outlets.
With over 8 years of experience in mental health and as an Asian, Queer Native New Yorker, I deeply resonate with you if a part of you is a high-achiever, perfectionist, or people-pleaser, yet you also find yourself prioritizing others over yourself. You appear to be put together, but deep down, you're stuck in processing intergenerational trauma. You feel overwhelmed to tap into this discomfort. But you’re ready to be with it, to bring a change that allows you to slow down, to feel, and to build your inner resources for generative connection. Most of all, you’re ready to embody the wisdom of your lineages and roots. I want to help you get there. As an EMDR trained therapist, I specialize in working with people of diverse backgrounds — high achievers, adoptees, helping/healthcare/finance/tech professionals, young adults, athletes, creatives, QTBIPOC, & immigrants — who have trauma, relationship issues, anxiety, or ADHD. Together, we will find your authentic voice through experiential, integrative, anti-oppressive practices, EFT, Gestalt, parts work, and somatic approaches. I’ll meet you where you are on your unique journey and offer you the support you need to live and thrive abundantly. A life where you are empowered by your body's wisdom is possible. You don’t have to continue feeling disconnected, and you don’t have to do it alone. Call or email me today for a free video consult call. I look forward to hearing from you.
Welcome to my practice. I am a licensed clinical psychologist with offices in Manhattan and Brooklyn, New York. I have practiced individual and couple therapy with adults independently since 2005. With extensive experience and advanced training in both the cognitive-behavioral and psychodynamic traditions, I specialize in helping individuals who struggle in stormy relationships, those who feel lonely or isolated, and those who too often feel frustrated and disappointed by themselves and their interactions with others, including in past experiences of psychotherapy. They may have experienced trauma or other early life stress, and may feel anxious and depressed. They may have been diagnosed with mood or personality disorders. Some have struggled to stay alive. I follow an integrative model comprised of cognitive-behavioral and psychodynamic approaches. I completed intensive training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and have practiced it extensively since 2005. I try to help people explore how their early experiences may still be affecting their thoughts, feelings and actions, and to try out alternatives. Before shifting to a fully independent practice in 2016, I was a supervising psychologist in a specialized program for the treatment of personality disorders. There I led DBT and interpersonal process groups, conducted individual therapy and assessments and supervised psychology interns. I welcome people from all backgrounds into my practice. I have found that a close examination of cultural, religious, gender and other factors can illuminate a person's current ways of thinking, feeling and behaving. Much of my practice has centered around understanding the unique complexities surrounding identity development and interpersonal relationships. I work with a wide range of presenting issues such as anxiety, depression, relationship conflict, grief, and trauma. I specialize in relationship distress, life transitions, communication challenges, sexuality and gender related issues, and consensual non-monogamy/polyamory. I believe that transformative therapy begins with a collaborative and trusting therapeutic partnership, one that highlights the unique knowledge, strengths, and skill sets of each client entering the room. Through trauma-informed practice, I aim to facilitate a safe and affirming therapeutic space. I recognize the ways in which institutions, systems, and intersectional identities impact individual experiences and overall wellbeing. My integrated approach to psychotherapy is based upon person-centered, existential, and attachment-based perspectives. I am passionate about exploring the ways in which attachment and trauma impact how an individual’s identity is formed.
I am an insight-oriented, person-centered, and sex-positive therapist who leads with curiosity. I see clients of all identities, and I specialize in the care and unique needs of queer, kinky, and nonmonogamous people, as well as those with a background in sex work. I am skilled in helping clients navigate issues related to gender identity, sexuality, alternative relationship structures, life transitions, grief, anxiety, depression, and attachment ruptures. My work in general psychotherapy and sex therapy is trauma-informed and driven by principles of consent. I will meet you where you are on your journey in a non-judgmental and compassionate way. My practice is guided by values of anti-oppression, and I actively consider the impact of positionality and power dynamics throughout my life. I am a graduate of the Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College, with a specialized certificate in Gender and Sexuality. Before becoming a therapist, I spent 12 years working in theatre; I integrate my experience working in artist care into my practice as a holistic-minded clinician. I see adult clients on an individual basis and in relationship structures of two or more. I firmly believe that you are the expert of your own experiences, and that my role as a therapist is to use my clinical presence to help us both understand you better. Our work together focuses on discovering patterns and connections, while utilizing our mutual insight. I am looking forward to hearing from you!

When emotional or behavioral challenges begin to affect daily life, relationships, and overall well-being, it can feel overwhelming and difficult to know where to turn. Having thoughtful, structured support during these times can make a meaningful difference. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), I provide evidence-based, relational therapy for children, adolescents, and young adults experiencing anxiety, OCD, mood concerns, ADHD, trauma, and behavioral difficulties. I also offer practical guidance to parents seeking steadier, more effective ways to support their child. My approach is grounded in evidence-based care and tailored to each individual. I integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) for OCD and anxiety, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and DBT-informed skills. I value depth, flexibility, and thoughtful collaboration over one-size-fits-all approaches. In our work together, I aim to create a steady, collaborative space where young people feel understood and supported while also challenged to grow. Therapy is not just about symptom reduction — it is about helping young people build resilience, flexibility, and confidence that extend beyond the therapy room. I partner closely with parents, offering guidance to reduce overwhelm, strengthen communication, and respond more effectively to difficult moments. My goal is to help young people and families feel steadier, more capable, and better equipped to navigate life’s inevitable ups and downs.
I am a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) specializing in anxiety and depression, with a focus on youth and young adults. As a partner in your healing journey, I help you navigate life changes, relationships, and coming-of-age issues, with a steadfast belief in transparency and relationship building. You can always come to me as a friend. I look forward to learning and growing with you together. My approach draws on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectal Behavior Therapy (DBT), along with talk therapy and play therapy, all in service of helping you build the tools to live a healthy and happy life. Real-life experience helps me connect with you, creating a space that feels comfortable and familiar. Every patient is unique, and I allow you the space to dissect those experiences. My path to becoming a therapist started with my own mental health journey. Everything I preach, I practice, and would never ask a patient to do anything I would not do myself. Through this approach combined with compassionate and culturally responsive care, I hope to normalize therapy in Black and brown communities. When I’m outside the office, I love photography, playing sports, and sometimes even getting a new tattoo!
As a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with 33 years of experience in healthcare, I believe people deserve more than just getting through the day. I’m passionate about helping individuals discover that there is a better way than carrying the weight of the world while trying to convince everyone — including themselves — that everything is fine. I specialize in trauma-informed care, depression, anxiety, PTSD, schizophrenia, and bipolar disorder, working with adolescents and adults who feel overwhelmed, stuck, anxious, or disconnected from the life they want to be living. Many people spend years pushing through stress, emotional pain, and life's demands, only to feel overwhelmed, exhausted, or burdened by guilt and self-doubt when things become difficult to manage. Mental health challenges rarely stem from a single issue. Often, they are shaped by life experiences, relationships, stressors, and circumstances that influence one another over time, sometimes leaving people caught in patterns of thinking, feeling, or behaving that feel frustrating or confusing, without a clear sense of where those patterns began. All of these stories matter. Through my professional experience and personal journey, I’ve learned that from the moment we enter the world, our experiences, relationships, and circumstances shape how we see ourselves and navigate life. Sometimes the hand we are dealt is difficult, and the ways we learn to cope, survive, and protect ourselves can unintentionally create additional struggles along the way. Mental health is not separate from the rest of our lives — it influences how we think, feel, respond to stress, connect with others, and move through the world. My goal is to help you gain insight into your story, recognize patterns that may be holding you back, and discover your own capacity for healing, growth, and meaningful change. My approach is curious, compassionate, and collaborative. Rather than focusing solely on symptoms, I take the time to understand the bigger picture, recognizing that mental health challenges are often shaped by a combination of life experiences, relationships, stressors, and personal circumstances. Understanding the whole story allows us to develop practical, individualized strategies that help make life's challenges feel more manageable and create lasting, meaningful change. Central to that work is uncovering the "why" behind the struggle. Long-standing patterns of guilt, shame, self-doubt, or emotional exhaustion can make it genuinely difficult to move forward, especially when those patterns don't seem to connect to anything obvious on the surface. Together, we explore them with curiosity rather than judgment, tracing the factors that may be contributing to what you're experiencing now. While doing this work you can always expect a warm, solution-focused environment where you feel heard and understood. Meaningful progress starts with a trusting relationship and a thorough understanding of your unique experiences, challenges, and goals. My style is trauma-informed at its core: I recognize that past experiences often shape how we think, feel, relate to others, and respond to stress in the present. From there, I tailor my approach to you, combining insight with practical strategies that support self-understanding, build resilience, and create the kind of change that lasts. My path into mental health care was shaped by both professional and personal experiences. As the director of a COVID ICU during the pandemic, I witnessed the emotional impact that illness, uncertainty, loss, and burnout had on patients, families, and healthcare professionals. It reinforced my belief that mental and emotional well-being go hand in hand. My passion for mental health deepened when my grandson experienced a mental health crisis at a young age. Despite working in healthcare, I witnessed firsthand how difficult it can be to navigate the system, find resources, and connect with providers who truly understand what individuals and families are going through. These experiences strengthened my commitment to providing compassionate, whole-person care that helps people feel heard, understood, and supported as they uncover the deeper roots of their struggles, access their own capacity for healing, and create powerful, lasting change.
The Grief & Bereavement Club is the worst club ever, and we all join it eventually – but it doesn't have to be the loss of a loved one that brings us there. My interest is in working with anyone going through a major life change or loss. Whether it's the loss of a person, a pet, a home, or a job, I want to work with you to learn how to live in this new reality of your life. I'm a therapist specializing in grief counseling for those experiencing loss of any kind, be it a loved one, a relationship, a profession, a home, a sense of self, or a terminal illness. Whatever brought you to therapy, I don't care. I'm just glad you're here. I'm honored to be part of your journey, whatever you wish to work on. My goal as a therapist is to help you navigate whatever has brought us together. For those experiencing grief or facing the end of life, we may draw on approaches like Meaning Making, Dignity Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and even Play Therapy. No matter the modality, we’ll look at therapy as a collaborative exercise, and work together to find what you respond to. We'll approach your journey from session to session. Some weeks you may need structure, other times you may just need to be in the moment with someone who listens. We're going to roll with it together, and you can expect some levity along the way. There are so many serious things that bring people to this room; sometimes a little laughter makes all the difference. Before becoming a therapist, I volunteered at domestic abuse emergency shelters and worked as a padded instructor for women's self-defense companies. After a series of personal losses, I found I had gained fluency in the language of grief, and felt called to be of service to those experiencing their own. I've been a martial artist since I was five years old, with belts in Krav Maga, Tang Soo Do, and Eskrima. You'll often find me on the subway reading my book of the month, usually on the way to a theater, a convention, or a renaissance fair.

Life is full of challenges, and sometimes we all need a little extra support to navigate them. As a Licensed Master Social Worker, my work is grounded in the belief that every person deserves compassionate, individualized care that meets them exactly where they are. Whether you're managing anxiety, working through a major life transition, navigating relationship difficulties, or looking to build confidence and resilience, I'm here to walk alongside you. My specialties span anxiety, stress management, relationship issues, self-esteem, and life coaching for adults, teens, and children alike. Alongside this, I bring dedicated expertise in supporting individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism, learning disabilities, and language disorders. At the heart of everything I do is a commitment to advocating for the whole person and equipping you with the tools and skills you need to grow. I look forward to being a compassionate, consistent partner in your healing journey and witnessing the strength and resilience that comes from doing this meaningful work together. In our work together, you can expect a warm, safe, and nonjudgmental space where you are truly seen and heard. Therapy here is person-centered and strengths-based, designed to feel empowering rather than overwhelming, and always tailored to your unique needs, goals, and lived experiences. Drawing from a range of evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), and psychoeducation, we'll work collaboratively to build meaningful skills and create lasting change. My style is flexible and collaborative, because no two people are alike, and your care shouldn't be either. My path to becoming a therapist grew was rooted in a simple but powerful belief that all people, regardless of age or background, sometimes need help and extra support. This belief has been shaped and strengthened across a range of settings, from higher education and hospitals to pediatric clinics, with each experience deepening my commitment to versatile, compassionate, and individualized care. Working across these environments, I've witnessed firsthand the profound impact that change can have, not only on an individual, but on everyone around them. That perspective informs every session. With an extensive background supporting individuals on the autism spectrum and experience across a broad range of developmental needs, I bring both professional expertise and genuine understanding to our work. No matter where you are in your journey, it is never too late to take that first step toward growth and healing. Outside of the therapy room, you'll find me staying active, whether that's out for a run or exploring new ways to move. I love trying new foods, discovering different cuisines, and getting creative through arts and crafts. These passions for movement, curiosity, and creativity carry over into how I approach my work with patients every day.
