Working with college ages and young adults is one of my favorite parts of practicing. Over the years I’ve helped students through applying to different colleges and universities, choosing the best school, choosing a major, to preparing for graduation. College can be stressful and I encourage clients to create a balance with academics and recreational activities to protect against burnout and feeling overwhelmed. Living independently for the first time is a big transition and sometimes it’s helpful to have extra support as you navigate this new phase of life.

Finding Balance and Support in College College can be exciting, but it can also be overwhelming. Between managing classes, relationships, future plans, and daily responsibilities, it’s easy to feel stressed, anxious, or emotionally drained. Maybe you’re struggling with focus, motivation, or perfectionism. Maybe you’re dealing with self-doubt, past experiences, or mental health challenges that make it hard to keep up. At Cura Meadows, I specialize in helping college students who feel stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure of their next steps. Many of my clients are thoughtful, ambitious individuals who want to do well but feel weighed down by stress, anxiety, depression, ADHD, or burnout. Some are navigating family expectations or healing from past trauma, while others just need support in managing the pressures of college life. I offer therapy and medication management in a space where you can process what you’re going through and find real solutions. Whether it’s learning new coping strategies, addressing underlying patterns, or exploring whether medication could help with focus, mood, or anxiety, our work is personalized to fit your needs. You don’t have to figure this all out on your own. If you’re looking for support that meets you where you are, I’d love to help.

I know the deep darkness of anxiety and depression. I am now happier and healthier and it is my passion to work alongside you to offer the support and guidance in your healing journey. I specialize in helping women reclaim their identity and find safety within themselves again. Using EMDR and somatic-based tools, we don't just talk about the past; we work to release it from your nervous system. In addition to EMDR, I integrate somatic-based practices, including gentle yoga and mindfulness techniques, when appropriate. By incorporating body-based awareness and movement, clients often experience a deeper sense of calm, grounding, and connection to themselves.

Anxiety!, Stress!, pressure to conform and hide who you are can be so exhausting. Whether you are neurodivergent, autistic, queer, gender expansive, or experience multiple intersections of being marginalized, the last thing you need is to be told how to conform to systems of oppression that don’t value you. If you are longing to really be known and celebrated for who you are, let’s talk and work together so you have the nourishing environment in therapy where you can experience the healing and growth you desire to have a vibrant life.

Psychologist
Colorado Springs, CO

Dr. Rademan starts treatment with a thorough and detailed inventory of life experiences that could be contributing to current concerns. She also explores body pain and chronic health concerns as those can be impacted by trauma and emotional wounding. Just like with physical health, mental health can be impacted by earlier 'injuries' that flare up later in life. Many people have been in and out of therapy throughout their life and haven't found sustained relief due to not healing the root issue or concern. At the foundation of treatment, Dr. Rademan utilizes a trauma and cognitive focused framework. Trauma is not only major violence or death, but can also be a loss of a relationship, not getting your needs met when you were a child, or ongoing major stressors. Trauma can be described as anything that significantly changed the way you view yourself or the world.

Hello, I'm Laura Clarke Mayabb and I'm a therapist dedicated to supporting college students and young adults as they navigate the complexities of university life and beyond. I firmly believe that every student's experience is unique, and I am committed to creating a safe and inclusive space for students of all backgrounds, identities, and experiences. You don't need a specific 'problem' to start therapy. Maybe you're looking for better ways to manage stress, improve relationships, or just figure out "what's next." That's all welcome here. My goal is to work collaboratively with you, giving you practical tools and insights so you can approach your academic, social, and personal life with greater clarity and resilience.

I value authenticity, empathy, and self-awareness, both for myself and my clients, and as a critical part of the therapeutic process (I also take advantage of the healing power of laughter whenever possible!). I aim to normalize and validate my clients’ experiences without judgment, and above all, provide the most basic of human needs: to feel seen and heard. My name is Stephanie (Stephanie or Stevie is fine) and I have been providing therapy in NJ exclusively via telehealth for about the last 4 years (prior to that, in person). If you have been struggling with symptoms of depression or anxiety, particularly if they are related to a traumatic experience, I would love the opportunity to work with you to reduce your mood- or anxiety-related symptoms, and to help you to experience a present that is not overshadowed or negatively impacted by situations and events from your past. I love working with women ages 20 to 30-something who are still in academia or just starting out in their careers, but also love working with women of any age. I frequently work with survivors of child sexual abuse, as well as those struggling with issues related to self-esteem/self-worth, but have treated many others as well. While experience and education are an absolute necessity to do this work, I believe that my lived experience has had a profound impact on both my ability to build strong therapeutic relationships and to be a more effective therapist. My ability to connect with clients has only been strengthened by my personal experiences with child sexual abuse, growing up with a parent with serious mental illness, and managing chronic depression since childhood, as well as through supporting loved ones through the complexities of mental illness, suicide, sexual abuse, special needs, chronic illness/pain, estrangement, dissociation, mood disorders, autism spectrum disorder, AD/HD, divorce, parenting, emotional and financial abuse, and coercive control. While I am not generally a "glass half full" person, nor do I necessarily believe that things happen for a reason, I do believe that if you're smart, you'll look for something to learn from the pain and from the healing. Doing so has lead me to this work and I want so much to show you what is on the other side of your pain. My background has also provided me with experiences that can be drawn upon when building relationships with clients. I have had the privilege of having known, grown up with, and cared deeply about people from a variety of backgrounds, races, nationalities, gender identities, sexual orientations, etc. In terms of strengths, I am unfailingly authentic, resilient, intelligent, curious, non-judgmental, and (at least in my personal life) hilarious ;) And by the way, all of those strengths? They were not so much developed as they were uncovered…through therapy. :) Please visit my website for blog and feedback from clients: www.of2mindstherapy.com *My practice is focused primarily on treating adults who identify as female as well as being a welcoming space for members of the LGBTQIA+ community. I do not currently treat cisgender heterosexual males, children or adolescents. I am currently licensed to treat clients in NJ, CT, OR, and WA Please reach out to see if your insurance is accepted. Is it time to reach out to a therapist? Maybe you haven't had something traumatic with a capital "T" happen in your life, but doesn't being on planet Earth feel like enough reason to start therapy? We can't escape from life's many stressors and occasionally deep wounding, but we can change the way we relate and cope with them, and lessen their negative effect on us. We can observe how we get in our own way, and get to the root cause of what blocks us from fulfillment. With compassion, mutual trust, and a little humor, let's transform your life, and finally break out of the unhelpful patterns that have held you back. I can help you expand your self-awareness, heal from emotional wounding, and support you navigating your life in a way that aligns with your authentic values. I offer psychotherapy with a mindfulness and cognitive approach while teaching you to tap into the wisdom of your emotions' helpful messages. Finding a therapist feels overwhelming, I understand. I do my best to create a comfortable atmosphere where you feel free to be you. I am committed to excellence and value my clients' time. With a chat, let's determine if we are a good fit and start towards your goals.

My top goal in therapy is to create a trusted partnership, built on empathy, honest feedback, and adaptive support. I provide a safe space to explore, understand, and work through difficulties. Together we work to expand insight, hone goals, and enact processes that reduce distress and change unwanted patterns. Clinically, I assess wellbeing using Ecological and Biopsychosocial Model perspectives. My work with clients is rooted in Humanistic and Cognitive-Behavioral models, and integrates strategies drawn from other approaches, including ACT, IFS, and MI therapies. However, my approach varies with each person, based on their unique needs, cultural contexts, and current circumstances. I often help clients with concerns related to anxiety, depression, relationships, focus/performance, existence/spirituality, academic/career development, and general well-being. I also frequently provide support for specific concerns, including identity development (cultural/sexual/gender/etc.), processing grief, resolving trauma, and substance use. All of us go through times when we feel overwhelmed or lost, and it's difficult to work through that alone. When looking for a therapist, consider what qualities (e.g., empathy, structure, logic) might help you most at this point. I'm happy to talk with you by phone about what you're looking for, how I work with clients, and any questions you have.

I have spent the last 6 years working with young adults in the community. Many are in a new place and dealing with transition in their lives. Living far away from home and having to "adult" can be overwhelming. Figuring out what you want to do after college can also be stressful. I would help to provide support during times. I am a playful therapist that has a genuine, person centered approach. I am not a blank faced therapist. I believe that the biggest intervention is the therapeutic alliance that is created between the therapist and client. Building trust, being approachable and connecting with my client's, these things are very important to me. I have lived experience of walking through this community as a Black queer women; this experience helps me connect and build rapport with BIPOC and queer folx. I have experience treating mood disorders, anxiety disorders, psychosis and pre psychotic symptoms. I love supporting people with creating healthy relationships and boundaries, working on assertive and healthy communication. Please check out my website, there you can schedule a free 15 consultation. I would love to meet you to see if we would be a good fit!

My clients seek me out for many different reasons, including (but not limited to) mood, anxiety, and stress disorders; adjustment difficulties; and relationship and family-of-origin concerns. Sometimes, they just know they're stuck or lost and need help. I use evidence-based approaches (i.e., what we know to be effective with certain concerns) to help clients gain awareness of the interactions between their thoughts, feelings, and behavior; recognize the influences that have shaped these patterns; and develop the knowledge and skills to respond, rather than react, to them. I specialize in working with trauma, anxiety, and disordered eating. To support clients in these areas, I am certified in EMDR, trained in brainspotting, and a level 2-trained Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapist. Additionally, I work from a non-dieting, Health At Every Size framework that is affirming of body size diversity. I offer a safe, collaborative space that balances compassion and challenge, within which we can work together to understand the concerns you are experiencing and identify new, more effective ways to meet your needs. If you think I might be a good fit for you, please call, text, or email me to schedule a free, 20-minute phone consultation.
