Paul specializes in using Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help people work through the pain and suffering that comes along with living a fully human life. The idea is not that you are broken, messed up, and need to be fixed, nor is it about what is wrong with you. The approach taken is more about what has happened to you to bring you to where you are today. The primary focus of using ACT is to find a healthier more workable way to respond to all of the painful thoughts, emotions, memories, and physical sensations we experience as humans, and then channel that pain into building a thriving life that is worthy of who we are. Paul engages in this work from a place of compassion, patience, and unconditional positive regard that sees people as they are and not as their struggles or past mistakes.

Life is full of challenges that test our resilience and leave us questioning or doubting ourselves. Therapy is a place to get the support you need to move forward and discover new meaning and joy in your world. While I tend to focus on the here and now of life’s obstacles, during therapy, we will likely explore family patterns and incorporate mindfulness to help you feel more in control in the future. I focus on working with young adults as they navigate various life transitions. My approach is warm and collaborative. I welcome diversity and honor your unique experience. I have a particular interest in working with individuals experiencing concerns about their sexuality. Deciding to get the help you need is an incredibly brave first step to feeling better. It is important we recognize that bravery and build on the courage that’s already in you to face life’s difficult moments.
You might feel torn between what you want and what everyone else expects from you. You try to make the right choices, keep the peace, and be there for everyone, yet you are left feeling anxious, guilty, and unsure of your own needs. I work with women who feel stuck in relationships, career decisions, and life transitions, and who want to understand themselves more clearly and set healthier boundaries. My work is grounded in CBT, Mindfulness, EMDR, strengths-based therapy, and Trauma Informed care. I pay close attention to the mind-body connection because it often reveals what words cannot. Our goal is to help you feel more like yourself, more confident in your decisions, and more connected to what you truly want. I show up with honesty, compassion, and a little humor. I will support you, challenge you, and call out the patterns that keep showing up so you can stay focused on what matters to you. You’ve done the work. Therapy isn’t new to you—you’ve been there, talked through it, gained awareness. You get why you are the way you are, but despite all of that, you still feel stuck. Like no matter how much you understand your past, something deeper is keeping you in survival mode. Maybe you had to grow up fast. Maybe life didn’t give you much room to just be a kid. You’re great at figuring things out, staying strong, analyzing your feelings—but sometimes, it feels like you’re thinking your way around healing instead of actually feeling it. That’s where I come in. I specialize in EMDR, a therapy that helps you move past what’s keeping you stuck—not just in your mind, but in your body and nervous system, too. If you’ve already explored meditation or mindfulness, even better! That means you already know how to tune in—now, we’ll go deeper. If you’re ready to stop just understanding your past and actually move beyond it, I’m here to help. Let’s do this work together. If you take the wheel on this journey, I'll be in the passenger seat with a compass and a map to be a partner all along the way.
