Do you feel your life is lacking meaning and fulfillment? Are you feeling unmotivated and low energy, making it difficult to get what you want out of your life? Do you often feel anxious and distracted? These symptoms are common and natural to feel in the fast paced and productivity-driven world that we live in, but this does not have to be our reality. In gaining awareness into our automatic behaviors and thoughts, taking on different perspectives, and some coping skills, we can take back control of our lives. I'm Josh (he/him), and I bring a wide range of skills to the therapeutic relationship. Ranging from non-directive Existential Therapy, to skills based Cognitive Behavioral and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, I am equipped to help you identify where you can make changes in your life. My therapeutic style prioritizes a relational and conversational approach. My therapy personality is described as laid back, accepting, and collaborative. I value working alongside you to discover underlying patterns that may be preventing you from living a more fulfilled life. As the client, I trust you to guide me in where you want to go, identifying the parts of your experience that you are wanting to change.
Hi! I’m Irene, and I am happy you are here. If you are neurodivergent woman searching for a therapist, you deserve someone who is non-judgmental and values your uniqueness. Have you been dealing with anxiety, fear, depression or anger? You may be in a partnership with another neurodivergent person, and you struggle with communication, or you may have trouble keeping up with daily life, like taking care of your living space, or doing the laundry. Maybe your children are grown and out of the house, and you are not sure what to do next with your life. All of this may be difficult to navigate. We can work together to make life less challenging. I am passionate about providing a non-judgmental, neuro-affirming therapeutic space for my clients. I have worked in the special education field for years and have collaborated with parents of neurodivergent children. I work with folks who are finding that their life seems to be more difficult than those around them. We can collaborate to support you in a person-centered setting. Counseling is different for each of us, and together we can work to achieve your goals. With my integrative approach, I will meet you where you are in your journey to wellness. We can do this together! Working under the supervision of Colleen Torrey.
Deciding to make the decision to go to therapy isn't always easy. It often can be difficult to know where to start. I can understand this. If you are someone who has been feeling lost, stuck, anxious, or depressed- you're in the right place. Maybe you have felt all of the above? Maybe you're someone looking for better tools to manage stress, understand your emotions or communicate with others. A typical session is based on your treatment plan. Sessions are meant to be a non-judgmental space where you are free to come as you. A place where you feel seen, heard, and valued. As a licensed professional counselor, I work with individuals of all ages struggling with anxiety, depression, addiction, and trauma. I specialize in treating folks with trauma using EMDR. I also have 3 years of experience treating alcohol and substance abuse disorders. Prior to my work as a therapist, I worked in community mental health for 5 years. Regardless of what you are going through or what you have been through. I understand the thought of asking yourself" what do I do next?" Asking for help is a small act of courage. I invite you to reach out (phone or email) and connect to see if we might be a good fit.
I have served as Director of 2 college counseling centers, and have worked in 5 others. I am only doing virtual appointments. I know the stress of being a student can be overwhelming, especially if you are also dealing with a mental health condition like depression or anxiety; a neurological difference like ADHD or autism; or a medical condition like an autoimmune disorder or chronic pain. I use humor, compassion, irreverence, and creativity to help you feel better and more empowered.
I provide experienced, thoughtful care to young adults and college students navigating a wide range of challenges. Whether you’re feeling stuck, anxious, disconnected, overwhelmed, or simply seeking clarity and direction, therapy can help you better understand yourself, shift unhelpful patterns, and create meaningful change. My approach is holistic, warm, and relational. I work collaboratively with each client to uncover the underlying forces shaping their current concerns, helping them identify choice points and reconnect with their strengths. While I work with a wide range of presenting issues, I have a special focus on treating trauma in its many forms. I am especially committed to providing safe, affirming, and effective care for survivors of sexual abuse and assault, and for those carrying the long shadows of past experiences. Regardless of the content, I approach every session with cultural humility, clinical attunement, and deep respect for each client’s lived experience. Therapy is your time—for insight, healing, growth, or simply space to breathe and think. A strong therapeutic relationship is at the heart of this work, and I invest fully in building that alliance with every client I meet. Do you experience hypervigilance? panic? overwhelm? avoidance? unexplained physical symptoms? Many of my clients didn't realize that their symptoms of anxiety, depression, chronic pain, and relationship struggles stem from trauma. Trauma isn't just something soldiers experience — it encompasses so many different life experiences. I use EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) to get at the root of your symptoms, rather than putting a bandaid on them for a temporary fix. I'm trained in EMDR 2.0 and the Four Blinks Flash technique, and I use advanced EMDR software to work effectively with clients online. I also offer Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) for clients ready to go deeper when talk therapy has reached its limits, along with Internal Family Systems (IFS) and ADHD-informed therapy. I've worked extensively with people in the LGBTQ+ community. If you're interested in working together, reach out to schedule a free 15-minute consultation — we can decide if we're a good fit. You are making an amazing and brave step in your healing journey!
Do you feel like food, exercise, or how you look are taking up way too much space in your mind? Or like no matter what you do, it’s never “enough”? I specialize in supporting teens and young adults who are navigating eating disorders, body image struggles, and the pressure to be perfect. If you are unsure how to navigate this difficult journey or find it hard to trust your own relationship with food, now might be the time to reach out for help. We’ll focus on helping you build freedom around food and movement, while also exploring the deeper emotions and experiences that may be driving your eating disorder. I use EMDR therapy to help process painful memories and the critical beliefs that often fuel disordered eating. EMDR can be especially powerful in shifting old patterns and helping you feel more grounded, confident, and connected to yourself. I also incorporate Intuitive Eating, Health at Every Size (HAES), and All Foods Fit approaches. Whether you’re feeling stuck in recovery, overwhelmed by anxiety and perfectionism, or just ready to find a healthier relationship with yourself, I’ll meet you exactly where you are. You don’t have to go through this alone. Together, we can build a path toward healing, self-acceptance, and freedom.

Hello and welcome to my page. My ideal client is struggling with their self-esteem, anxious and/or depressive symptoms, relationship issues, and even substance use/misuse. Most of my clients' goal is to live a more fulfilling and content life. They want to feel understood, supported, and listened to empathetically. I can help by primarily trying to understand you. That is the bottom line. I will offer you a safe, caring, and nonjudgemental environment to do this. I will listen fully with interest and respect so you can begin to talk about the parts of your life and yourself you are struggling with. I have worked as a social worker for 18 years, first at a community mental health center, then at a private group practice, and now solely in my own private practice. I work with young adults, adults, and older adults.
I am a solo practitioner working in private practice full time in an effort to alleviate the mental health crisis happening in this country while also providing supervision and management in a full-time mental health position. I have extensive experience working with adolescents and young adults (we call that Transition Aged youth in the biz) with a particular interest and experience with ADHD, Anxiety, OCD, Depression, Bipolar Disorders, Psychosis-symptoms, Trichotillomania, Autism Spectrum Disorders and other developmental disorders. Transitioning to adulthood is no joke, so don't feel bad about needing some help sometimes. It's temporary.
