Please, allow me to navigate this life-changing journey with you. To be heard without being judged allows us to explore our current state of emotion without the fear of being ridiculed, without the stigma behind mental health, and without the fear of “what will they think of me?” The Goal: To reach a peaceful state of mind. You are not alone.

College is the ultimate life experience, but it can also cause a lot of anxiety, doubt, confusion, and feelings of inadequacy. It also brings along questions of “am I good enough,” “did I choose the right path,” and “how am I going to get through this”? Guess what? These are all normal feelings and thoughts that every college student experiences to some degree or another, and I am here to help you navigate them! However, what happens if tragedy strikes, or you find yourself struggling with disabling anxiety, or chronic pain and/or illness? That was the predicament I found myself in during Graduate School. I received a Traumatic Brain Injury along with a Spinal Injury halfway through my MSW. I thought it was all over for me, I thought I was going to fail out of school, and was told I could never work in the field of social work. Well, I’m here to tell you they were WRONG! I made it through all the trials and tribulations, graduated with Honors, and I am here to help you navigate your struggles and help you continue to pursue your dreams! If you are struggling with daily college life, are experiencing debilitating mental health issues, or are trying to power through chronic pain and/or illness to acquire your college degree and make your dreams come true I am here to help you on your journey!

Are you caught in a loop of asking yourself “was there something about me that made them treat me this way?” Or “am I being sensitive, overreacting, is it my fault?”. Anyone else tired of all of these “unprecedented” events stressing out their already stressful life? How can someone NOT feel anxious while balancing news, work/school, social life, family, chores, relationships and self-care? Life can be so overwhelming! But I can help with that! I may not be able to take away some of the stressors; but I can certainly help find the tools you need to manage the burden. I provide a safe, empathic and accepting space for anyone working through these feelings. I specialize in helping women and teens find healing and inner strength in order to find fulfillment in life's challenges and triumphs.

To me, therapy is about meeting you where you are at. We can 'sit in the suck' and commiserate but from there we will build up! This is a collaborative relationship; we are colleagues working towards the same goal. I won’t try to impress you with fancy medical jargon or bore you with a lecture. I am a simple person with humble beginnings. I started my career in healthcare at 17 years old as a CNA (Certified nursing assistant) working nights at a tiny rural hospital. I moved into the Chicago suburbs to continue my education but maintained my CNA certificate by working afternoons and nights at a long-term care facility. I graduated with my Master’s in Social work in 2016 from Aurora University. During my initial years as a social worker I worked in mental health case management and hospice. Two years later I received my Licensed Clinical Social Work for the state of Illinois. Not even a month later in 2019 I moved to North Texas where it took me several more year of training before I received my clinical licensure for Texas. During that time I took several different positions to gain a better understanding of all the kinds of work a social worker is capable of. Those positions were intensive outpatient for mental health and addictions, intake, utilization review for a psychiatric hospital and home health. After gaining clinical licensure in Texas, I concentrated my focus to one on one telehealth with adults while they navigate difficult life changes. When I am not working I enjoy cooking, hiking, competing in dog sports, and tending to my plants and home with my spouse, 7 dogs, and one very old rabbit. I volunteer with the local animal shelter working with animals at risk of euthanasia due to behavior issues or medical concerns and in rescue rehabilitating struggling pets. As a clinician I use aspects of cognitive behavior therapy and dialectical behavior therapy and am considered person centered. I regularly provide handouts, suggest videos, or give homework to encourage therapeutic thought and action outside of our sessions. I look forward to meeting you and being part of the healing chapter of your story!

About Me / Specialties I am a licensed psychologist specializing in treating adolescents and young adults with OCD, anxiety (including social anxiety, panic, phobias, and generalized anxiety), and related conditions such as body dysmorphic disorder, trichotillomania, tics, and excoriation disorder. I provide evidence-based therapies including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). I see clients in-person in Cambridge, MA and virtually throughout Massachusetts and Texas. I also work with parents, offering coaching to help support their teen or young adult while reducing family accommodations. My goal is to create a compassionate, collaborative space where we take mental health seriously—but not ourselves too seriously. A little humor can go a long way in therapy! Treatment Approach I tailor treatment to each individual, often addressing co-occurring concerns like depression, eating issues, or trauma alongside anxiety or OCD. Using ERP, CBT, ACT, and DBT strategies, I help students manage symptoms, regulate emotions, and make meaningful, lasting changes—all in a supportive and approachable way. Training & Experience I earned my PhD from the University of Virginia, completed my clinical internship at Harvard Medical School/Cambridge Health Alliance, and a postdoctoral fellowship at the Center for OCD and Related Disorders at Massachusetts General Hospital/Harvard Medical School, where I currently see therapy patients and conduct research on OCD spectrum disorders.

When the time feels right for you, I’ll be here and ready to support you. My ideal client is someone ready to do the work and is willing to challenge themselves as well as enjoy the benefits of the work we'll be doing together. Happiness is not an act of human will, otherwise we'd all choose to be happy. When working with me, we will discover together how we become happy if not by merely willing it to happen. Hopefully you enjoy a relaxed and open atmosphere, speaking with a therapist in a conversational style where you don't need to censor yourself or feel as though you will be coerced to say or do something you don't want to. My treatment methods have ranged from group, individual, and couples' counseling with tools ranging from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy, and Exposure and Response Prevention Therapy. I like to provide care for the whole person and tailor your treatment to what works best for you. I received my Master's degree in Clinical Psychology from TAMUCC, since then I have worked with many extraordinary people. I have experience with addiction, behavioral modification, resolving issues with anxiety and depression, and anger management.

Hi, I’m Tony, and I offer virtual therapy for college students navigating anxiety, identity, and everything in between. College can feel like both a fresh start and a heavy weight—especially when you’re trying to figure out who you are in a world that often expects you to have all the answers. If you’re feeling anxious, uncertain about the future, or just not quite yourself, you’re not alone—and you don’t have to go through it alone either. In my practice, I work with college students who are dealing with anxiety, self-doubt, identity questions, and the pressure to “get it right.” Many of my clients are exploring who they are outside of other people’s expectations—especially around gender, sexuality, culture, and family. As an LGBTQ+ affirming therapist, I create a space where all parts of you are welcome and respected. Therapy with me is a space to slow down, untangle what’s going on inside, and connect more deeply with yourself. No performance. No judgment. Just room to breathe and be real. If you’re ready to explore who you are and how you want to show up in the world, I’d be honored to walk alongside you.
